Cookster’s Day Out!Cookster’s Day Out!
Is all we can say here is ‘absolutely appalling’. Numerous customers complaining about poor service and not receiving their drinks until after their food! For us, it was probably the worst place we’ve visited in a very long time, if not the worst! One of us had near enough finished before the drinks arrived, despite prompting the waiter (Dylan) for them earlier, asking if we’d been forgotten about?! Our food arrived and I noticed that my streaky bacon was undercooked - white fat throughout and cool. I requested for our waiter, Dylan to come over to show him the said bacon and to say I wasn’t happy with it, to which he replied “oh, I will just show the chef when you’ve finished” - no offer of my bacon being put back on the grill or being replaced, nothing at all!! I didn’t eat much more of my breakfast, as the bacon situation had put me off. I then waited for Dylan to return. He didn’t do, so I called him back over to see what he had to say. He just pulled my plate away and went to show the chef. We were then ignored, no feedback about my bacon or how he was going to rectify an unhappy customer - just nothing! I called him back over again and asked him what the chef had said and he replied “ohhh, well, he just pulled the bacon apart and it seemed okay”. Obviously at this point I was getting really annoyed and thought maybe he would have taken this off my bill???!!!! I then asked for the bill and noted that I had been charged full price for everything - still no apology or way of trying to make the customer happy. I then asked who the manager was, to try and resolve the issue with them and Dylan replied “I think that will be me” - I mean talk about shocking service, what is going on in this establishment??? Obvious to say, we will never be back nor advise any of our friends to visit.

I booked brunch at Apricot in Lytham for 11 AM, and overall, it was a very good experience. My dad wanted something light, so he had a bacon and egg butty. The egg was perfectly poached and runny, and the bacon was thick—something I’m not usually a fan of, but my dad loves it, and he said it was great. I had a hash brown with bacon, two poached eggs, and sliced avocado. The avocado was cold, which worked well with the bacon. It got a thumbs-up from me. For drinks, my dad had a Twinings English Breakfast tea. It’s not a difficult tea to get right, yet many places seem to underestimate the importance of a good brew. Thankfully, Apricot didn’t disappoint. I had a chai tea latte, which was exceptionally nice. The total bill came to just over £28. Not the cheapest, but still a reasonable price for what we had. I didn’t keep the receipt for a breakdown, but at that price, I wasn’t too concerned. Overall, it was a nice experience with friendly service. Would happily return!

My son took me to Aricot Brunch for a little treat on my last visit to him. I must say it was a very pleasant experience, the quality of the food was outstanding and the price was reasonable. Acombination that is rarely seen these days, the staff are very friendly and professional. The venue has a really nice homely feel to it, and it is very evident that the kitchen staff are trained to a high standard. One of the ways I measure said high standard is by how well an egg is prepared, cooked and presented. As you can see by the attaced pictures the eggs were top notch. I had Fried Egg and Bacon on a Brioche Bun and my son had Hash Brown, Streaky Bacon and Avocado with 2 poached Eggs. Both meals were superb. As I have only been to this establishment one time I can't comment on it's consistancy, another element that is rarely achieved these days, however if said consistancy is upto par then I would really recommend that you visit the Apricot Brunch Bar.

Came for breakfast this morning and was shown to a table straight away. After looking at the menu for a while, the waiter came to us and asked if we would like to order drinks. We said we were ready to order drinks and food but he told us we couldn’t order food (it was 10.30am) and had to wait until he had taken other food orders but could take our drinks order! Very strange as it wasn’t full or very busy. But only one waiter. Our drinks were brought to us and we had to wait for him to return again to take the food order. Once we did order the food, he came back 5 minutes later to say one of the dishes was not available. We ordered something else. All the time this was happening there was a lady taking pictures of food, which was set out to advertise on social media. She didn’t smile and became annoying to the atmosphere. People had started to queue at the door and she ignored them. I feel it was not an appropriate time to do this as customers had to move around her. There was only one lad serving. The customer service was disappointing. When the food came it was quite bland. The grilled cheese didn’t taste of cheese!. Some of the crisps were soft. The mushrooms on toast needed salt and pepper adding. Again a bland meal. When we paid we asked for the service charge to be removed and explained the customer service was lacking. Two other waitresses started at about 11am which would have been better if they had started earlier. From the reviews we were expecting something special but Apricot did not deliver on...

Absolutely loved our visit to Apricot!

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, modern, and inviting. The decor is stylish without feeling pretentious—light, airy, and full of coastal charm. We were seated quickly, and the service throughout was friendly and attentive without ever being overbearing.

A special shoutout to our waitress Chelsie, who was absolutely fantastic—welcoming, professional, and genuinely lovely. She made great recommendations and ensured everything was spot on throughout our meal.

We came for brunch and were blown away. I had the Bacon Benedict, which was perfectly cooked—the eggs were spot on, and the hollandaise had just the right tang. My friend had the vegan breakfast and was seriously impressed by the flavours and variety. Coffee was excellent too—strong, smooth, and served hot (always a win!).

What really stood out was the attention to dietary options—plenty of vegan and gluten-free choices, all clearly labelled and thoughtfully prepared.

I’ve already made a note to come back in the evening to try their tapas and cocktails—2-for-1 deals and a cozy bar vibe? Yes, please!

Highly recommend Apricot to anyone looking for a great meal in Lytham—whether you’re brunching, catching up with friends, or just fancy a good flat white in a lovely setting. Can’t...
