Greggs — Restaurant in Borough of Fylde

It was a cold afternoon when I decided to stop by Greggs on Squires Gate Lane. I was craving something warm and comforting, so I went for a classic choice: the Sausage, Bean & Cheese Melt. A perfect combination of flaky pastry, tasty sausage, gooey cheese, and, of course, the all-important beans.

As I stood in line, I spotted two familiar faces—old school friends I hadn’t seen in years. We exchanged surprised looks and started catching up, laughing about old times. Everything was going great until I took that first bite of my pasty.

Something was off. The pastry was there. The sausage was there. But… where were the beans? Where was the cheese?!

I took another bite, hoping I had just hit a dry patch. But no. The beans were gone. The cheese? Nowhere to be found. It was just sausage and pastry. I looked around suspiciously. Who had stolen my beans?

Did the staff at Greggs decide I wasn’t worthy of the full experience? Was this some kind of secret challenge? Or… had my old school friends played a trick on me, distracting me while a stealthy Greggs employee swiped my filling?

I considered going up to the counter to report the crime, but how do you even explain that? "Excuse me, but I believe my pasty has been robbed?"

In the end, I finished my suspiciously empty pasty, but the betrayal stung. Greggs, you owe me some beans. Justice...

No idea what the negative comments are about, never had an issue here. The food is constantly prepared to a high standard and the young lad, Dom, is a credit to the company. Dom constantly goes out his way to ensure high quality service is provided for example bringing food to the table after it is fresh out the oven. The shop is often busy particularly on a weekend but the staff cope with this well, I have never seen...
