Morrisons Cafe — Restaurant in Borough of Fylde

Not been at a weekend but from working in the area for a few weeks, I feel compelled to compliment the staff and probably management at this cafe. They have to deal with a lot of older people, some of whom are unfortunate enough to be in wheelchairs, and the professionalism and calmness from the young ladies working this cafe is inspirational. So far the food is at the top of what you'd expect from a supermarket cafe and I wouldn't expect anything more. I haven't had cold food yet and I expected the deep fried fish to be greasy underneath as it's, well, deep fried. But even in the busiest times that I've seen, all the tables are clean, the detrious is fully cleared away or in the process of being cleared and the staff are friendly, confident and doing what they're paid to do. They must have good management to do all that, especially given the size of the place. It's as good as the shop's salad bar with yesterday's ice cold potato curry salad thing and peppers that tase of mold, is disgusting. Kudos to all the staff and management at this cafe. I'm writing this review as my husband & myself are sitting in Morrisons Cafe, Squires Gate Blackpool enjoying our chicken & vegetable soup served with two rounds of buttered toast! We are being served by a very well mannered young man by the name of Sam who is running around doing everything so well! Our food is very tasty indeed & the Cafe seems to be running by Sam alone tonight! We do use this Cafe a lot & no matter what hot drink/meal/snack we have ordered it is always very well prepared & presented. The food is extremely good value for money with generous portions & we always have plenty time to relax & enjoy whatever we may have ordered. The opening times are as follows; Monday-Thursday; 07:30am-7:00pm Friday; 07:30am-8:00pm Saturday; 07:30am-6:00pm Sunday; 09:30am-4:00pm The staff are always very friendly & helpful & the Cafe is always nicely warmed. Eat out to help out - hmm well we tried to. My husband and i and our baby arrived in your almost empty cafe for lunch. Nobody was on the door and there was no que so we started to que. Next thing what can only be described as the female Hitler arrived and without us saying a word to her said 'there's no tables you have to leave". When we tried to ask her why because we were seeing dozens and dozens of empty tables nowhere near other people she just kept repeating no table you have to leave. I wouldn't be writing this review if she'd simply said "I'm sorry we're full to capacity at the moment" FINE we would have happily left. But this woman was rude and made us feel we were wrong for entering the cafe in the first place. There was absolutely no need for the manners she had.
