Golden Grill — Restaurant in Borough of Spelthorne

I used to frequent here with my friend but in recent weeks I have found them to be rude and unapologetic. The time before last that I went there they got both my order and my friends order wrong and whilst I was apologized to when they bought my food over she was not right until we left, when I informed them that my order was wrong they started implying that I did not order what I actually had and then started speaking in a different language between themselves which I normally don't mind but then made me feel uncomfortable. I then thought I would go back yesterday to give them another chance, now I always order the same food and same combination of drinks and yesterday I was overcharged based on what I normally paid there as was my father and when I queried this with them and explained that I go back there a fair few times and have never been charged as much as I was then (I substituted chips and peas with my omelette for a jacket potato and beans) normally I only get charged an extra 50-60p but this time it was about 1.50 they refused to really listen to what I was saying preferring to try to prove themselves right they got around it by saying they charged us separately for the jacket potato and beans and the omelette which they have never done before they just charge a little bit more for the substitution now as such I will never be frequenting there again and have told them that they can no longer accept my custom. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended by me and wife.

This is the definitive shish kebab experience. Their chicken schwarma (chicken doner) is among the very finest as well. Salads seasoned perfectly (red cabbage to die for!).

If you think you don't like a kebab then try here for a new perspective. It's something to be eaten sober, during daylight.

But the live fire charcoal kebab grill is the winner for me.

Always busy on the few visits I have made. Doner kebabs are excellent. Only reason why a star was dropped was on the customer service I have received on my visits. I appreciate how busy the guys are here but every time the friendliness of the staff wasn’t very welcoming. A simple hello etc would make my custom feel welcome. Sorry guys it cost you a 5* Update 8 years on. Didn’t realise they closed at 10pm and noticed the look! I was definitely his last customer. Everything was there for my kebab which was well worth the visit. Customer service this time deservedly got the 5th star. Many thanks...
