Hobbs Cafe — Restaurant in Borough of Spelthorne

I found this to be a surprisingly underappreciated place. I was looking for a place that I could get breakfast/brunch every morning and came across this café, which I was pleasantly surprised by.

The space itself is rather small, but it never felt cramped. There was plenty of space to move around, the seats were comfortable, and there was more than enough room on the table for the plates. The music is also very uplifting and energetic, which I find is a good way to start the day.

The service was kind, patient, and definitely very fast. I got my food in less time than it took me to write this review, so everyone worked very efficiently.

The food itself was very decent as well, especially with the prices they offered. I ordered an omelette with some tea, and in total it cost me around the same as it would to get a meal from some fast food places these days. I would much rather have the omelette again than get fast food, however. It was one of those meals where I entered the café without feeling too hungry, but realized just how hungry I actually was once I started eating and left the restaurant satisfied with the portions.

All in all, it was a very decent café and I believe it should be a lot more popular than it...

This place says Cafe One on the sign outside. Having witnessed a photo of Breakfast here when my mate was in town, it became my one true mission to get here - real chips!!!!! At Breakfast!! I'll have some of that. So on the first available opportunity I headed straight to Staines for a full breakfast and was not disappointed. Everything about it was quality. The staff, the service, the food and the price couldn't be faulted. A choice of sausages too. They seemed to be a cut above normal cafe fare, meaty and succulent. Lovely bacon. Top notch beans. Perfect fried egg. And those chips. Double portion next time for me. Local cafés are great places. This one deserves...

I happened to walk past this lovely place whilst in Staines purely by chance (in between flying into Heathrow and going back to do a pickup!)

Warm welcome, plenty of recommendations from friendly regulars who popped in whilst I was here, and freshly made food with a smile!

The chips were a “don’t miss” so, full plate of English Breakfast including these was the order of the brunch time, with a decent Americano too

Would certainly advocate supporting this local outlet (as well as a few others on the High Street) in Staines in favor of large chains!

15 mins drive from Heathrow, and there is free 1hr parking right...
