KFC Sunbury on Thames — Restaurant in Borough of Spelthorne

Generally don’t know what happened to this place, I remember going here all the time as a child and being happy with my food. Workers were kind and everything was normal. Nowadays I feel nothing but regret and just simply disgusted. Not by the workers (most of the times) but generally the people there! I know it’s not their fault but just hear me out.

Within the past year alone I come by to KFC just like any ordinary person looking for food right after school however had to be hammered by some random wannabe gangster thugs casually blocking the door and proceeded to gaslight me. Gotta be Year 7 or 8 not cool just wonder if they even respect their elders.

Second time I arrive just to get food as usual but this time I pray that nothing bad will happen but sadly I was in for a treat. School kids everywhere Year 7’s shouting acting like maniacs but I disregard them because of course. Just ordered meal like usual, looks like there were no cashiers since all the workers were cooking so just stood there while looked for awhile also with continuous yelling right into my ear as I finally managed to get his attention. Took my order nicely thought it was finally coming to an end. Waited for my food just casually I am a very patient person so I go on my phone and proceed to have a discussion with my friends since it’s the new school year about revision etc. then suddenly the worker calls out to me (another employee) asks me what my order number is and I of course tell him.

Says he called me multiple times (which didn’t even hear because remember there are year 7’s all over the place plus also some people having discussions so it was fairly noisy) making me look like a fool of myself even though coincidentally I was standing right at the soda machine which is where the workers call out numbers and cook plus occasionally walking and shifting around but staying very near to the counter so I accept the blame to avoid an argument. Then some person waiting has the audacity to say I was to busy / addicted to my phone and also proceeds to act like I’m some sort of degenerate Gen Alpha addicted to screens 24/7 when I was clearly passing the time and having a discussion with my friend in the meantime whilst I was waiting. Tried to apologise even though I wasn’t holding anything up and me simply not retrieving my food in time started making me look like a person who couldn’t decide on which food to order in a line of people waiting. Simply ignored and nudged me off like I wasn’t even there somewhat like a ghost. Then of course it doesn’t end there because for the cherry on top muffled some swears under his breath and sighed like a baddie or something. Too be fair I was exhausted from the first day back at school so I shrugged it off but knew that he swore so maybe he’s having a bad day like me? Even though fully unjustified!

I like this KFC just make sure you go on the weekend but since I don’t want to be gaslighted or bullied by the customers who look homeless and unemployed or year 7’s screaming like it’s some McDonald’s playhouse.

Quite possibly the rudest KFC I’ve ever been in. And I’ve been in a few...

Today, I ordered some lunch on the KFC app for collection at Sunbury Cross. I paid on the app and followed the instructions to “check in” when I got there and THEN my food would be prepared. It took me 6 min to walk up there and I checked in when I got there. My number appeared on the “preparing” screen.

There were 2 other people in the store ordering at the till and I stood in the waiting for collection spot. A female member of staff walked over to the drinks point behind the counter and asked me if I was collecting an order. I said yes as she started pouring drinks. She then called over to the only other person there, a man I assume was the manager and she called out my order.

He walked over to the serving point and shouted at me, asking if was there to collect and order. I politely replied yes to which I was told the woman had been calling me. Despite only having just got there, checked in and my Oder show up on the screen? I told him I knew as I had acknowledged her (my exact words). He repeated that she had been calling me and “that’s what happens when you order online!”.

He then shoved my food at me.

Now, the saying “don’t bite the hand that feeds you” works both ways here. I remained calm and polite despite this abuse because I like to have my food without spit in it. At the same time, it’s my money that is paying into your economic income, so don’t talk to people like that, ever! The food was clearly not fresh either and hardly present. By the way, I ordered the “boneless banquet” (see attached picture).

This store clearly survives on the business it brings in from the local youths in the evening, along with the standard ASB and crime that goes with it. That’s his target audience. I treated myself to lunch today and quite frankly, regret it.

Steer clear, go to M&S or subway. Totally...

Absolute rubbish!!

I haven't been out of the house for two days due to being very ill. My partner decided to take me out for something to eat due to not eating a lot and wanting to get out! We got to KFC in sunbury and as soon as we stepped through the door it was a disaster! There was these school kids screaming and shouting and had no food in front of them and hadn't ate either. My partner turned to them and say do you mind keeping the noise down?... The young school girl then turned to him and said why don't you shut up! As my partner ignored this comment they continued to shout for no reason! My partner turned again, only to hear her say what you looking at?! I said would you shut up please! This was not a great image for the business and will not be returning again! I don't understand when I spoke to the man behind the counter and asked can't you kick them out if they haven't purchased anything? He didn't reply with an answer he just looked scared and worried.... Oh and the other part (wow) my card didn't go through but it clearly stated on the card machine that it had accepted my partner done the same and it happen again! I asked for a reciept as proof but he refused and said there wasn't one! Then it finally went through as I out my card in instead of contactless! Unbelievable, then I got my receipt! Hmm.... Well I came out for a quick bite with my partner and we get treated like this?! Unacceptable. The only thing good was the food...

I hope something gets done about young schools kids and your staff being able to do something about it.
