I am absolutely livid with the new ownership of Mexican Rico. I have been a loyal customer for a while and have always cherished this place. However, my recent visit left me appalled and disgusted by their incompetence and lack of professionalism.
To start with, they completely messed up my order. Despite clearly specifying that I am a vegetarian, they served me a meat dish. I only realized their mistake after I had already taken a bite, and when I confronted the waiter, they confirmed that it was indeed meat. Can you imagine the shock and disgust I felt after 26 years of faithfully adhering to a vegetarian diet? It is beyond comprehension how they could make such a basic and careless error.
What made matters worse is the owner's behavior. The owner was clearly half-drunk and showed no remorse whatsoever for their mistake. They didn't even have the decency to offer a sincere apology or acknowledge the seriousness of their error. Instead, they callously sat outside, indulging in their drinks, completely indifferent to the chaos they had caused. It was an absolute insult and a display of utter disregard for their customers.
Mexican Rico used to be my regular haunt, a place I loved and recommended to others. But after this appalling experience and their complete lack of accountability, I will never set foot in that establishment again. Being treated as if my patronage meant nothing, without a proper apology or any form of compensation, is simply unacceptable.
Not only did they ruin my meal by serving me meat, but they also had the audacity to make me pay for everything else, as if I hadn't suffered enough already. It is clear that the new ownership lacks the necessary respect and consideration for their customers.
I strongly urge anyone considering dining at Mexican Rico to think twice before giving them any business. The new ownership's blatant disregard for customer satisfaction, their failure to rectify their mistake, and their insistence on making us pay for their errors is beyond disappointing. Find a restaurant that values its customers and treats them with the respect they deserve.
In conclusion, my experience at Mexican Rico under the new ownership was a complete nightmare. I have lost all faith in their ability to provide a quality dining experience and treat customers with the respect they deserve. It pains me to say that I will never return to Mexican Rico again. Save yourself the disappointment and frustration by finding a restaurant that truly values...
Read moreUpon examining the restaurant's menu and customer reviews, I can confidently say that this is not your run-of-the-mill Mexican restaurant. The flavors and spices used in the dishes are bold and authentic, taking you on a culinary journey through Mexico's diverse regions. The menu offers a range of traditional dishes, such as tacos, enchiladas, and burritos, but also features lesser-known specialties that are worth exploring.
One of the standout dishes that caught my attention is the carne asada, which is perfectly grilled and seasoned with just the right amount of spices to bring out the meat's natural flavors. The guacamole is also worth mentioning, as it is made fresh with ripe avocados, onions, and tomatoes, and served with warm tortilla chips that are addictively crunchy.
The restaurant's atmosphere is warm and inviting, with colorful decor that transports you to a traditional Mexican eatery. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, always happy to offer recommendations and make adjustments to accommodate any dietary restrictions.
In terms of pricing, the restaurant offers excellent value for money, with generous portions that are perfect for sharing with friends and family. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a full-fledged meal, this restaurant has something for everyone.
Overall, I highly recommend this Mexican restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious dining experience. The flavors and ambiance are unmatched, and it's no surprise that this spot has become a...
Read moreReally bad and basic food, can't understand the amazing reviews. I guess it must be me ! ? ......? The cocktails were bad too. What is with people that just either don't understand food or don't understand quality ? A restaurant is meant to serve an experience, with the atmosphere, the good and drinks and the service. I will give a 2 * for the food, a 2* for the drinks and perhaps a 3* for the service. It's a shame, because it's a small independent restaurant and I think they have 1 more north of the country. I want restaurants like this to thrive and really show the boring large chains, that their time is up and a new revolution of small restaurants with great cosy atmospheres and amazing fresh and authenticly cooked food and service, will rival the boring frozen food, penny pincher, mundane atmosphere high street chains ........ Well, they did not, I would have rather been and wasted my money at a Chiquito chain. One of their dishes was pre-deep fried and then felt microwaved, their fillings were not good and they served a side of salad with a honey mustard dressing ? At a Mexican restaurant? Their menu is confusing and not authentic mexican - Its a shame. They can do better and I'm sure they will figure it out....
