Read more08/08/25 I am revising this. I went in today - not to dine. Ordered the Kabuli rice with lamb shank. And lamb karahi. Sadly, the Kabuli rice didn’t have carrots nor raisins and the shank a bit smaller than the ones I’ve ordered for delivery. Waiting time is also way too long. But we weren’t hungry yet and had a takeaway so it’s fine. So it’s not up to scratch today. The lamb karahi was not even a full box so that’s disappointing. Still delicious though.
I recommended my colleagues to come here for lunch 2-3 weeks ago… they did. About 10 of them but the food came about 40-45 minutes in so they couldn’t really enjoy it as they had to rush back to work. And they’ve ordered in advance as well.
Delicious food but it’s a bit slow. The curries and lamb shank and the Kabuli rice must be precooked so I don’t know what the hold up usually is unless they have to get it from another place to the restaurant?
I will be going or ordering from there again because it’s delicious but it will be when I’m not hungry. Lol
March 2025 I’m reviewing the delivery service and I wasn’t going to do a review until I manage to dine in. However, I’ve had 2 deliveries now. One on Thursday and one on Saturday.
Lamb saag - favourite Kabuli rice with lamb shank - so delicious! Chicken briyani - meh. Different so that’s good but it didn’t come with any side curry. Chicken too dry. Lamb karahi - too oily but delicious Lamb briyani - it’s ok.
They didn’t give any condiments or sauces for free for the first delivery. What you order is what you get. Which is fair enough. For the second time, there were mint and chilli sauces and some sour ish sauce which was absolutely amazing!
What is not fair is the time it takes to deliver this food. You’ll need about a hour or so. Forget that estimated time. They really need to just pay Uber or Deliveroo to deliver.
2nd time was via Just Eat. Just too long. Don’t order if you’re hungry. Get a McD. Having said that if you plan it properly and willing to wait an hour at least, definitely give this a go....
Read moreNobody wants to have to work on a Saturday night yet despite the fact that I went in at gone half past midnight the welcome I was given was genuinely warm and inviting. The chef was extremely courteous and friendly. I thought there would be a long wait but absolutely not. Everything was ready in around 4 or 5 minutes and in a bag ready for me to take home. I love that they did not add salt to the beautifully cooked chips that were quite special. I much prefer to add my own salt to taste and they respected that which I really like. Even though I had nearly a 10 minute walk home the chips were still lovely and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. To repeat myself they were beautifully cooked. The special salad in the chicken fillet burger was nice and despite not usually liking mayonnaise the one they added was a nice garlic one and they didn't smother everything with it so I actually enjoyed it. I have had better fillet burgers but there was certainly nothing wrong with the one I had but not quite a 5 star chicken burger. The chips were way over a 5 star rating though. Thanks guys. Wish you all good success both now and...
