M2 PIZZA PASTA — Restaurant in Borough of Spelthorne

What a disappointment!! Having been here many times over the years and always had good service, our visit tonight has put us off ever returning. We booked a table and were sat at the window despite asking not to be we were given no choice. A family of four came in after us and were sat on the table next to us. After waiting for 15 minutes we had not been approached to take our drink order and in fact we were ready by this time to order drinks and food. A waitress came and took the order of the table that had arrived after us and after she had finished she went to walk away and I called her back and I asked if she could take our order as well. She looked at me and didn’t respond and instead went to tend to people waiting at the door. She then came back three times to clean the table next to us in the window for those people and completely ignored us. She then delivered drinks and starters to the table of four who arrived after us and still did not approach us to take our order. So M2, if you are wondering what happened to the couple in the corner who booked a table for 7.30, it was at this point that we left after 25 minues of being completely ignored and went to Tamanna’s instead where had drinks and had ordered our food within 5 minutes of being seated and had fantastic service throughout and they clearly valued our business. If I could rate 0 star it would be better . This restaurant is the most racist place I've ever been . We have asian background and as soon as we enter the restaurant there was a young engilish girl that came to us and said you can NOt seat Just wait outside .Although there was alot of empty tables and no reservation . We waited there for long and no one offer a table to us and they even didn't apologise . We just left as this attitude was really unacceptable from whole the team specially the brunette english girl . I can't believe this poor costumer service and poor attitude from these people . The reply if the owner is not true at all . First of all whole the tables were cleaned and empty . Second no one ask us politly to wait outside the way the waitress talked to me was really unacceptable and Cc tv can not record voice so again another lie . Theres is also no sign to wait outside . We did not chose to leave the restaurant as we experience rasism we decided to leave the restaurant and no one came to apologise . When you go to a place and feel conned! I went to have a Pizza there today; ordered a Bruschetta and a simple Margherita pizza. I asked for Oregano and chilli flakes for my Pizza, which is offered as a standard thing at any pizza place. So I was surprised that when the bill came, they had charged me extra £1.35 as itemized Extras. I asked the waitress and she said it’s for the Chilli Flakes! And when I questioned her ( especially as nobody told me beforehand or it’s mentioned anywhere on their menu that it’ll be extra), she was pretty nonchalant about it and couldn’t care less! I had gone in with a pleasant feeling though came out feeling really bad and felt duped. The place might have a full house considering they have a monopoly with not many Italian places on the high street though it’s definitely NOT a place with a full heart and good customer service…. well!
