So, unbooked we turned up with team of 10 guys (wedding guests at local Riverbarn wedding venue) No problem, tables moved and we were seated within 10 mins. Our waitress was so attentive- varied drinks appeared delivered to the right person! As we were looking for an English style breakfast she suggested the pork and fennel sausage ciabatta served with chilli jam and additional pancetta. We dropped in today for a late lunch. We sat outside, watching the world go by. We ordered a flat white and sparkling mineral water. The waitress was really welcoming and approachable. We ordered the wrap from the specials board which came with Parma ham, mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes and rocket. And the Reuben’s which was prosciutto, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, pickles on toasted panini. Both of them were delicious, you could taste the freshness of the ingredients. This Italian "café" to mix two languages has recently re-opened after the Covid-19 restrictions were lifted. We went along for the first time and as expected, given we know the owners of the establishment, the coffee and delicacies we had were belissimo and of high quality.
