Went on a bank holiday Monday and ordered very simple food that effectively shouldn’t have gone wrong, a cheese panini , a breakfast wrap and 2 iced coffees. Without any staff telling me they went ahead and made a cheese wrap instead and when I told them they had said it’s because they ran out of panini bread , the owner then said to a MOS that there is some and said to leave me with the wrap as it’s already made , there was no transparency and that was a conversation not intended for me to hear , I advised I had been having q craving for a panini and was gutted they’d ran out (which is fine) and then they made me one (it was awful!) the cheese wasn’t melted and it tasted like very cheap mild cheese. My husband had the breakfast wrap and said that it wasn’t worth it and that the ingredients tasted cheap (not tasty overall) the two iced coffees was made with icecream (some icecream isn’t vegitarian) and i am , we wasn’t made aware it was going to be made with ice-cream , a usual ice latte would have been better. The women that worked there was very friendly and the younger one was the one trying to rectify things and seemed the most switched on. They was also closing and so the hoovering and moving of tables etc didn’t make for a nice atmosphere, I’d rather them have just said they was closing and couldn’t do it as nothing seemed to be going well. My husband and I wouldn’t recommend this ( might be better for other food and not on a bank holiday but it did seem cheap ingredients was used. Transparency around the mistake would have been better and for the owner to actually care rather than the *leave her with the wrap* remark

Called in this unassuming cafe with my wife & dog for a late lunch after a walk & ordered a warm quiche with salad & a coffee, I was expecting a slice of quiche & a few salad leaves with tomato but I had to do a double take at what turned up, I thought the plate must have been for us both to share as it completely filled a large dinner plate, packed with a huge quiche portion, pasta shells in pesto sauce, bulgar wheat, curried chickpeas, cucumber, tomato, salad leaves, beetroot, potato salad, coleslaw, red onions, it was fabulous 🙂. Lovely attentive staff who even brought out some dog biscuits đŸ¶. This place is opposite The Royal Oak pub by the Market place stone cross, don’t pass by as it’s great đŸ‘đŸŒ

I brought my sister in law & niece who are from the Midlands to Garstang deli-cafe & they loved it. The menu has plenty of choice, with a salad bar & lots of homemade cakes. My sister in law loved her roll with Garstang sausage & egg & my niece & I opted for toasted sandwiches with salad; a tuna & a Brie & cranberry sauce. We also had a coffee, a tea & a soft drink. We took four different cakes home for later & they were all good. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with welcoming, friendly & efficient staff.

Lovely food and drink, but unfortunately an unpleasant experience with one of the customers will mean we wont be returning.

Near the end of our visit, one of the customers rudely walked over and interrupted our conversation to tell us how we were being "too loud and not welcome in Lancashire" (despite us living here for years) among many other rude comments towards myself and my partially deaf relatives - who she showed absolutely no consideration towards

She then stormed out of the cafe, and was followed by one of the staff who apologised to her - and yet none of the staff members said a word of apology or concern to us after her rude behaviour. It didn't seem to matter to them that she had chosen to rudely attack us and tell us never to return, so we will choose to do exactly that.

It's a real shame as the cafe itself does lovely food and drink, but would clearly rather show preference to rude customers who choose to verbally attack other diners rather than simply politely requesting us to quiten down a little (or just showing basic decency towards those who are hard of hearing), completely ruining what was meant to be a...

Belatedly posting my review of Garstang Deli Cafe. This cafe is under new ownership and it didn't disappoint. I visited with a friend at around 11.30am and it was busy both with customers eating in and those buying takeaway food too. My friend ordered the butter pie which was served with beetroot and grated cheese. It smelled delicious and was declared to be excellent by my companion. I opted for a blueberry scone and it was light and fluffy and "loaded" with blueberries. It was absolutely scrummy. A pot of tea and a huge cup of coffee completed our order and both were perfect. The takeaway counter was doing a roaring trade with salad boxes and other takeaway food. The menus for both eat in and takeaway were extensive and a wide range of goodies also listed on the specials board. In addition to all of this we received a friendly greeting and smile from the staff. Give it a try - you won't be...
