God knows how we managed to book a table, wish I was on of the lucky ones that didn't have the opportunity like the other people. (all we become clear).
Went up a flight of stairs, and found the bar area crammed with people. We squeezed past the crowd of people to the bar. At the bar, we let the lady know who we are, she asked us if we wanted to order a drink for the table.
I declined because I wanted to be at the table in my own personal space. However we waited that long to be taken to the table that we changed our mind. We tried to order however she ignored us and went to the next couple who came in.
While we were at the bar, the music was nice. However the constant ringing of the telephone was annoying. They had plenty of chances to pick up the phone, however they ignored it. The phone would then stop and then restart ringing straight away. If you don't pick up the phone you are basically ignoring potential business.
Eventually we got to the table, the Menu was nice.
However when we tried to order we were ignored the first time, while we were waiting all I could hear was just a wave of noise. We had to raise our voice to my table guests to hear each other. Maybe if they had less tables the noise from other people would be reduced?
The food was nice for starter, my table guest was warned about the hot plate, after starters we tried to order more drinks. We were ignored by the lady on the bar, then when the waiter took our order it came. Well some of it did, my jug of water didn't come. I asked the waiter about it and he responded with shouting, "I ordered with your Diet Coke and Peroni." Eventually the jug came, shorter after our mains.
We weren't warned about the hot dishes that came and a child in our party burnt her hand. The waiter could clearly see he had served to a child so why not warn her?
They were still seating people in after 9:30pm, however the table that seated were barely sat down more than 4 minutes before the waiter was at the table trying to take their order.
The table before that was for a birthday, so during our meal. We heard old fashioned car horns and a pan lid being banged against them. So I told my group they better of not told them it was my Birthday Meal. Luckily they hadn't. PHEW
We paid the bill and shorter after that we were still drinking our drinks, and the waiter was over taking our empty glasses. Clearly trying to move us on instead of leaving us to let our food settle.
Things could be improved with better;
Management in what the staff were doing, Bar training, Customer Service.
I won't be back, and I wish I had gone to the Tramway instead.
Would be nice if my toppings were spread out...
Read moreWhat can I say about Rico's? The best Italian restaurant I've ever been to and the most friendly staff you can get! I've been coming to Ricos in Poulton-le-Fylde for around 18 years now, and honestly, I've never had a bad experience or meal here.
Ordered a Serloin Steak Diane for myself tonight and my mother got a Fillet Stilton. Both came with vegetables which were nice and crunchy and potatoes served with the Diane sauce which was absolutely amazing!
Obviously accompanied by a lovely pint of peroni, or two!
I will never stop coming to this fantastic Italian restaurant. It is 100% worth the money you pay!
Not only that, I've been here to celebrate various birthdays and they always make you feel special, bringing out the instruments and a candle in a desert courtesy of the restaurant.
Get yourselves there people, you...
Read moreFood extremely delicious; hot and flavoursome. The whole table really enjoyed their dishes. Atmosphere is great - can see into the kitchen, but it’s not for those who like it quiet and calm. It’s a very loud small space with no sound dampening. Service was a let down, orders for drinks taken and delivered to the table, main order taken. Food arrived, further drinks ordered, but they didn’t arrive until we finished eating. We had to ask for our table to be cleared, then we had to grab somebody for both the desert menu and to also order deserts. Ordered table water with the desert, but it never arrived but was on the bill;...
