Ariya African Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Bradford

After hearing my family sing praises about Ariya Restaurant, I decided to go in and have a taste of the meal but was extremely disappointed. I ordered Poundo yam with Efo riro and assorted meat. The Efo riro tasted like they poured in raw pepper and didn't allow it cook. The soup served with the Efo wasn't any good either. I was also served pomo in lieu of my requested assorted meat as they claimed they had "run out of assorted meat"and didn't think to let me know before serving my meal. I was very disappointed!

My family did say the meals always tastes better so I definitely would love to go give it a try again and see if they get it...

Disappointing experience. 2 rock hard tiny pieces of chicken on a knuckle looking bone and rice, for £10 pounds was overpriced in my opinion. I took my Ghanaian basketball player there and he was not satisfied. The music was good though. From a culinary perspective there are much better deals out there. The lady who served us should know that if you serve rock hard (2 tiny pieces, one piece inedible!) chicken, which my kid could not even cut with hard efforts (I had to help him) that's a recipe for disaster and you've lost a future loyal customer as well as a negative recommendation.
