I have always loved this place however its been a while since I've been and boy have things changed. I waited 45 minutes for food with no warning of this when I ordered. I was charged more than advertised as the lager that is in a deal was not available so it was substituted for a different one but I had to pay the extra even though its their fault. I only got my food because people who ordered after me were getting theirs and I asked what was happening with mine. Read moreI ordered a cottage pie... Whatever it was it was not that..
Beef was grey, and ground rather than minced - looked like the type of food you'd buy for your dog. No veg or gravy in it - came on the side instead. Pie was covered in melted red Leicester to try to make up for the lack of any taste - didn't. Whole thing was cold. I paid £7 for this by the way. Can get a tastier one for £4 at J. D. Wetherspoon.
Way too few staff on - two poor girls were running around catering for at least fifty people on their own. I'm betting they weren't even paid accordingly either....
