This was my second time attending the restaurant. The first time I had breakfast the week it opened and thoroughly enjoyed. I took guests with me the second time to have a proper dinner as I heard lots of reviews about the karahis. We were seated by a young man, I had to wait 10-15 minutes for my order to be taken because the waiter was in the kitchen. The restaurant was empty we were the only people sat there. He took our order by memorising it. He did not write it down. I asked if we could have starters and mains together and he suggested that I have them separately so that when I get my karahi I can enjoy it sizzling hot. I ordered lamb chops/chicken boti/chips and chicken charsi karahi. We were served the lamb chops and boti but he didn't give us our drinks even though I asked him to please bring them. I had to wait another 10 minutes because he was again in the kitchen. He brought the karahi to the table and it wasn't sizzling, not even steaming hot. We ordered x2 roti and he brought 4 roti to our table. Even the drinks we ordered he brought the wrong ones. I returned 2 roti and didn't bother with the drinks. I asked 2-3 times about when the chips would be coming and he kept saying they are almost done. We finished our entire meal, I was going to ask for the bill but once again the waiter was nowhere to be seen. At this point another family had come in and were waiting for their order to be taken. I was shocked to see the waiter walk into the restaurant with a bag, containing a BOX of CHIPS. He saw we had finished. He poured the shop bought chips into a plate and brought them to us. I am sorry but if you dont want to make certain food items, dont have them on the menu? And also write down someone's order so you dont get everything wrong. I was so embarrassed infront of my guests. Also the owner came in at the end of our meal, he was nice and asked if we enjoyed it. The waiter didn't bother to even ask once. Highly disappointed, the waiter is ruining your reputation and spoilt a...
Read moreOne of the worst Restraunt’s I have ever been to in my life. I am currently suffering from food poisoning because of it. Walked in to a horrible smell almost choking me out still gave them a chance I thought they’re cleaning products might have ran out and they are expecting more inventory. The place was dead as hell a nasty smell coming from the cloth booths we was sat on. Atmosphere was cold uninviting and an absolute joke. Ordered some starters and they were absolutely horrific the fish was luke warm even though it had just been fried and the lamb chops were dripping in peri peri sauce and was undercooked. I don’t understand how they got it so wrong considering we was the only customers sat there the chutney aka the mint sauce had a foul bitter smell coming from it and I am almost certain it was out of date. They brought over a naan bread with coriander and garlic and it was thicker than the end slice of bread you get at supermarkets. The presentation how the food was served was absolutely vile they need to scrub their pots and pans because you could smell and taste old food from the karahi. I would rather eat a spicy dip burger enjoy it and sit on the toilet for 30 mins then suffer from this food poisoning I have got. I’m absolutely disgusted in the fake tick tock reviews and false advertisement. I would give it 0 stars if I could. In reply to your previous message I have never ordered from Uber eats from here because I would have picked up on it straight away so I think you have me confused for another customer. Also my standards are not that high they’re just basic hygeine and food safety ratings which I think you have failed. I’m sorry if my words are harsh but they are the truth 3 days later and I am still suffering...
Read moreWent in for a collection and ordered the butt lamb karahi and 2 boiled rice. After paying, the food was brought out, but when I checked the rice containers they were literally half full. I questioned this and was told “this is how we serve.” Personally, I don’t think half a container is a fair portion for the price.
I requested a refund for the rice and only took the curry home. To be fair, the curry itself was really delicious, but the service left me very disappointed. Sadly, because of this experience, I don’t think I’d go back.
I’m not here to argue with you, but I do think as a business you should be aware of what your staff are serving customers. Just to clarify, the rice portion you mentioned is listed at £2.45 on your own menu, not £1.95.
For me, this isn’t about the money, it’s about the principle. If a customer pays for a portion, they should receive the full portion, not half a container. I requested a refund only for the rice and still took the curry home out of fairness, even though I could have returned everything.
Yes, the lamb karahi was delicious, but customer service and portion standards matter just as much. After collecting rice from MyLahore instead, I noticed their presentation and portion size were far better. That shows the issue isn’t the price, it’s the consistency and standards of service.
Rather than suggesting how I should review my experience, I would encourage you to focus on training your staff on portion sizes and customer service. That will help prevent this situation with other customers in the future. As for the 20% discount, I’m not interested, I’d prefer to see improvements in the way customers...
