I came here for my birthday with my dad and brother and was not disappointed. We made a reservation about 2 hours prior to arrival thinking that we might be declined due to such short notice but we managed to squeeze in. The staff are very friendly, the young lady that sat us down offered us another table close to the fire which was very kind of her (The restaurant itself was not cold but it was absolutely freezing outside). The atmosphere was nice and the decor was well thought through - it wasnt cheap ugly tacky decor like most places. I was abit annoyed how there was no physical menus, we had to scan a QRcode which never loaded on any of our mobile devices (maybe just poor signal) but the server was quick to give us a tablet with the full menu on. The mocktails were very tasty and refreshing and complimented our food well, I ordered the pina colada which i highly recommend. The starters arrived swiftly and were full of flavour and cooked to perfection. The mains were just as good, as it was my birthday I went for the 24ct gold steak and when it arrived I will be honest I was quite underwhelmed, however when I took the first bite of the juicy steak I realised I was wrong. I asked for medium and they delivered, the chips went well with the peppercorn sauce, the mash however was a little plain but the rest of my plate made up for it. On my dad's order they forgot to add the sides he ordered but upon questioning the server he received it straight away. The only thing left on our plates when we was finished was the salad. We had just enough room left for desserts, my dads cheesecake didn't come with ice cream but whipped cream instead but again upon questioning the server it was immediately rectified. Our order came up to £158 for the three of us which is quite good for value considering we all got the most expensive things on the menu + drinks + sides + desserts. We don't usually do this but since they made my birthday one of the best birthdays in a while we gave a nice tip to the server as he went above and beyond for us. We've already told our friends and family about this gem and we will definitely be...
Read moreI visited her yesterday and had high hopes for the place but unfortunately didn’t live up to the expectations. So when we arrived there was a lot of parking space which is good and easy access to the restaurant. The atmosphere seemed to be okay. We had ordered the meat chops whereby the potion seems to be small for starters. I had ordered the rib eye steak for main based on the recommendation it being medium rare but as I was eating it became drier and drier as well as chewy. So the issue was towards the end when it came to paying. The man at the till had said it was cash only which we was not aware of, when my friend had asked where the nearest cash point is, he became quite patronising and unfriendly when telling us and that we should’ve seen it as we were coming but the sign is so small and you would think to notify people when they arrive that the restaurant is cash only! Secondly, he then said we can do a bank transfer which again I find very strange and odd to do for a restaurant which we agreed to do anyways but again very passive aggressive when asking and seemed to be annoyed for whatever reason but what was odd is that the recipient of the bank transfer didn’t even seem to be in the name of the business which is very suspicious from that perspective, as even takeaways don’t initiate bank transfers let alone a restaurant. I asked him it is has been received but he never seemed to do the checks for it. Safe to say I won’t be coming back here again as the hospitality was very poor and doesn’t live to its standard. Another waiter had given us a item we had left behind in the car park and when expressing my concern for the man at the till he told me that’s just how he is which is frustrating because there is serious lack of...
Read moreExcellent service. Delicious food. We went in and saw signs for cash only payments but staff said transfer was possible, which was great as I’m not from Bradford so would have had to go round looking for cash machine. Decor is nice, clean and comfortable. Waiter service was spot on only that he talked too fast but he was great and friendly. The sizzling plate is delicious and the portion is huge! We had the chicken sizzler NY style I think and the Romeo Juliet suckler plate. It’s super filling and that was great as we had travelled all day and were really hungry! We asked the waiter which mocktail was recommended and he suggested the ocean blue mocktail, which was really nice and not a small chutney size glass with more ice and less drink like other places. The glass was tall and full so you could actually enjoy and drink a proper mocktail than eat ice. Waiter made sure everything was good. The tropical dequiribwas also very nice and decent sized. Price was spot on for everything. Good steak, mash, steamed veg which wasn’t soggy, all time favourite peppercorn sauce & drinks, everything was perfect. The rice is spicy so bear that in mind but it’s nice. Paid at counter. They do icecream too but we’re full with just the sizzling plate. Highly recommended and will be back with rest of the family. There is parking (you have to pay for it) I believe blue badge holders are free from what I can remember (as it’s a private parking plot), but it does get full in the evenings. Street parking is not free and residential permit holders in places only from what I saw so just want you to be aware of this. Parking on main road is free but just a short distance walk to the restaurant. Don’t let this stop you from coming. Hidden...
