AVOID – Worst Nando’s Branch Ever
I’ve been a loyal Nando’s customer for over 10 years, but this branch has completely lost my trust. Last week, they served us burnt, dry chicken. The waiter acknowledged the mistake and replaced it—fair enough, mistakes happen.
But today, I explicitly asked them not to burn the chicken, explaining that we had a movie to catch and couldn’t wait for a replacement. Yet, they still served us charred, cardboard-like wings. When I pointed this out, the waiter admitted, “They don’t watch the grill—I’ve told them so many times.” She offered a replacement, but it took so long that we finished the rest of our meal before it arrived. By then, it was useless, we didn’t want takeaway; we wanted a proper sit-in meal.
The manager then claimed they’re “trained to char chicken until it’s black.” That’s nonsense—I’ve had Nando’s at countless other branches (even abroad), and none serve burnt chicken like this. It’s clear this location either doesn’t care or has no quality control.
The manager offered a refund, but I didn’t come for a refund, I came for a decent meal. If they can’t grill chicken properly (a core part of their menu!), they don’t deserve customers. Overpriced, poorly cooked, and terrible service.I won’t be returning to this branch, possibly Nando’s at all. Plenty of options for nice diners in bradford. Not...
Read moreWhere do I start? Me and my sisters thought we'd have a nice meal at Nandos, first of all we walk in and a male staff greeted us with 'it's a 20 minute wait' not the usual friendly greeting we get. He didn't even bother cracking a smile or anything. The wait was fine, we waited 20 minutes and came back, without saying a word he took us to our table which was extremely sticky and wobbly. We then ordered our food, the food was fine, it was lovely infact. The thing that bothered me a lot is that we are paying customers yet we literally got the vibe that the staff did not want us there. I went up to ask for mayo and one of the female staff didn't even reply and just gave it. Then we went back and asked for some takeaway boxes which I don't know why but it looked like it offended the female staff and without saying a word she gave the boxes. Not one person even came to us to ask us if our food is okay or if we needed anything else, yet they all looked like they was having the time of their lives in the back. It didn't even look like there was someone in charge and do not even get me started on the state of those toilets! Literally ruined our night! The staff have actual attitude problems and we will not be coming back here again. If anyone wants to go Nandos avoid this one and go to the Centenary Square one. Much better service and...
Read moreAbsolutely disgusting customer service from Mark aka the Deputy Manager... he has absolutely no clue on how to speak respectfully to customers let alone provide a service. Firstly Mark cancelled our booking as he told us we had to physically be stood outside the shop in order for a table to be reserved (we have dined many times at Nandos and never been told about this part of their 'policy'). Secondly, we were a family of 7 so could not book 1 table due to the rule of 6. We informed Mark we would book as one table of 4 and the other as 3 and asked if he could try and seat us as close as possible. Mark was adamant that there was no way we would be sat together and that was not even a possibility. He would not let me get a word in and spoke over me each time i tried to communicate with him. I asked him extremely politely to TRY and seat us close together and we did not mind waiting a little longer. Mark still refused and told us it was not an option. However, when it was our turn to be seated Jav ensured our tables were across one another which worked fine.
Thank you Jav for making our meal as stress free as possible 👍 Mark, i suggest you undergo some thorough training on dealing with people and providing some level of service to the...
