Let me tell you a quick story about this place. I've been here twice now since it first opened not long ago. The first time I went, it was an awesome experience to say the least. We were seated immediately, food was delivered on time and the taste was amazing. The starters were finger-licking good, couldn't get over the samosa chaat and lamb chops. For mains, I got the chicken tikka masala, this was also brilliant, sweet and spicy at the same time. I left the place very happy and recommended it highly to my friends.
Fast-forward around 6 weeks, I returned with some friends who'd been looking forward to this place ever since my glowing review. Again, we were seated promptly, food delivered on time but this is where it went downhill. The starters were good but I could tell the quality was different. I tried nearly every starter they offered and nothing left a lasting impression. My attention then turned towards the mains to rescue my meal and also my reputation amongst these friends. Wow were they disappointed. Portion size and taste had decreased exponentially and I was left wondering if I'd have dreamt my previous experience. The curries were oily and there was less meat than in one of my fingers. The waiters asked if everything was ok. Mama raised me with manners, I nodded with tears streaming down my face. To top the night off, my friends had left me behind and I had to walk home to ponder where I went...
Read moreWhat's the decor is quite nice and quite authentic, you may need to request when placing your reservation if you want the charrpae (bed) with cushion which is more in the corner and nicer located. Food was served nicely although can be a bit spicy and oily so be aware. Good to see Magz and other classic dishes. Drinks in bottles as the draght can be not as good though tempted by jugs. Service good though being seated near the door, be aware of people queing and that can be an issue. We had people just crowding out table and in these times, there really should be some control of people flow. I'd say if offered the table at the door which is for 6/8 then wait for another, or ask for a wooden divider. Whilst seats look nice it's hard to sit close to the table due to the design so clothes can get spills on. Heavy food but nice decor. Just a shame when busy. It's also nice if a large group, please be aware of noise levels. It's not great sitting with family and hearing a group next table swearing and cussing loudly. Staff seem rushed to maintain some order. Car park limited and can be cramped but can do the street nearby which are fine. Overall looks good but first visit maybe it's just very busy on a Sunday evening but was with good expectation, but not so. Toilets ok for males but only one for females downstairs. Good naan Fish But could be...
Read moreThe place was in dire need of improvement, both in cleanliness and safety standards. The broken socket near our table was concerning, the table was grimy, and the sticky floor only added to the overall discomfort. The food was extremely disappointing—the chicken seemed off, making it one of the worst meals I’ve had in Bradford. The restroom was equally unclean, reinforcing the need for an urgent makeover.
That said, the customer service stood out in contrast. The young man who served us was polite, attentive, and clearly hardworking, doing his best despite the circumstances. Unfortunately, due to the poor hygiene and substandard food quality, we won’t be returning
*Thank you for your response. I appreciate you taking the time to address my feedback. However, I must clarify that my comments reflected my genuine experience with the dish and not simply a matter of personal preference.
The issue wasn’t about whether the Charsi Chicken Karahi was to my liking—it was about the preparation, flavor, or quality not meeting the expectations set by the restaurant’s standards or description of the dish. I believe honest feedback helps both customers and businesses improve, and I hope this can be taken constructively to ensure a better experience for others in the future.
Thank you again for responding, and I wish you success in addressing...
