Massive disappointment, have n't been here for roughly 10 years and after my recent experience I think I remember why.
The atmosphere was dead the service poor.
I order a chicken Karahi which was actually nice. But fairly standard for the bradford.
But service was slow and only one waiter working. He did apologise for delays to be fair.
I ordered 2 desserts and neither of them where nice.
The Halawa is probably one of the worst I tasted in any restaurant. I had 2 bites and left it
The other was Gulab Jamun and Ice
Which I had to request 4 times before they eventually bought it out.
Zero for presentation. It looked like they had just dumped 2 gulab jamun on a plate with 2 bits of ice cream.
It was not even scoops of ice cream. It's looked like 2 spoons of ice cream you scrape out of a ice cream tub.
The was no balance between the Gulab Jamun and Ice Cream. The ice cream looked and tasted like a cheap Tesco value ice cream and the Gulab Jamun was very doughy, tired the Gulab Jamun on their own and they were awful.
After waiting for the dessert for ages and only taking a couple of bites, I got up paid the bill and left.
Think the waiter taking my payment could tell I was not happy.
He probably heard me say on the wait out , "ain't coming here again "
I'm finding that the more long established restaurants in bradford just don't have they same quality and standards they once had.
I feel the likes of My Lahore, My Peshawar, My Kashmir are the current standard bearers in the Bradford curry scene.
Maybe sticking 'My' in the front of the name or naming it after a major city in Pakistan (lol) is the secret to the high standard.
Overall really disappointing experience at the...
Read moreWe went yesterday as a family of 5 and were very disappointed with the food. Firstly we ordered a mixed starter which comes with Shish Kebabs. The kebabs were off (we could tell with the smell) and we had to send them back. The feedback the chef gave was they were freshly made on the day which they definitely weren't.
Secondly, one of the curries we ordered had strange bits in it. We did show these to the waiter but were told it was part of a garlic peel. I completely disagree as I cook too and the texture is not the same and none of the other curries had these. This completely put everyone off the food.
Lastly, I am pregnant and cannot keep much food in and therefore requested a plain paratha (which I understand is not on the menu) however, it is made out of the same ingredients as a chapatti. The waiter requested it but the chef refused. Therefore I sat through the meal without any food watching the others eat and ate at home. If your chef cannot make a plain paratha then clearly he's in the wrong job.
It seems like the quality of the food and service is slipping especially when the owners are not about. We have been visiting this restaurant for many years and my father in law since it first opened and can clearly see the downward fall in quality. After this experience I'm not sure we will be...

🛑 VERY DISAPPOINTED 🛑 how they treat people when they go there for dine in and after 40 minutes of wait with children they say we cant serve as its closed for dine in while still serving people with take way . I entered at 11:30 and was in dine in line to collect breakfast. They should mention time on door when a person is entering before closure time for breakfast.I requested breakfast (only three puri )for my kids but they straight away refused and said asked from people in take away line. They further enforced on this point that if after giving them breakfast , anything(puri ) left then We will give you(I was already in dine in line ).I was surprised with their attitude despite my recurrent requests. It was pretty horrible experience and I left place with hungry kids. I love to visit this place for breakfast and always recommend my doctor’s community about sweet centre not only from local areas but also from distant places . The purpose of this review is to inform management so that they may take appropriate steps to maintain its...
