Yam Spice Foods — Restaurant in Bradford

First and last time! We Booked for 6 people and was the only table inside, we got our drinks and placed our order and was left on the table for 45mins with no waiter or waitress insight, the starters came out which were ok although the plantain and yam tasted the same, we were then left for another 1hr 20mins with no waiter or waitress around and no one to ask us if we wanted more drinks or anything, we couldve left tbh and no one wouldve known because they were all in the back, the main course eventually came but only 1 of the 6 came out, we asked the staff where the rest of the food was, to which he replied the fish is taking longer to cook, so i told him to bring the rest out as we are getting restless from waiting, the food was not great and to top it off we found hair in one of the dishes to which the lady was denying it is a hair and some type of strand thats in the dish so we checked the rest of the jollof rice and found no other strands to suggest it was an ingredient and not a hair, we informed them that the food and service has not been good and in my honest opinion we would not go back she stated she will give a discount to which i told her its not about the discount and im willing to pay the full money but until they improve we will not be...

I can't rate service and atmosphere as I never been in the Store before but I have ordered many times from uber eats! One downside is that I always had to wait long for my order to prepare but I understand that everything is prepared fresh and I respect that! In fact I love that! So today I ordered again after long time egusi soup with pounded yam fried plantain and moi moi! I waited more than 2 hours but it was so worth it! I already knew it was worth it! Egusi was delicious with nice spice kick and tasty meat! Pounfed yam was fresh and delicious 😋 moi moi was amazing like always and it was my first time that I tried their plantain chips and I have to say that I love them! They were super crispy and piping hot! The perfect snack after food! What else can I say? Well done guys and thank you so much that u offer us this experience of homemade and fresh nigerian food! I will definitely be ordering again and again!

Myself and my partner went in on a quiet Sunday evening. The service was warm, patient and super knowledgable about all the food. We know a little bit about West African food but felt super comfortable to try foods that had been suggested. When the food arrived we didn’t talk for the duration of the meal because it was so tasty! Everything had a depth of flavour and careful additions of spice! The puff puff (fried pastry) was gorgeous, I think there was a hint of cinnamon or some other warm spices - lush! The red soup, peanut stew, a selection of meat, moi moi (delicious fermented beans, similar to tofu but spicy)!
