PizzaExpress — Restaurant in Bradford

I have been number of times where I’ve not put a review as it wouldn’t have been a good one but this time the service was atrocious . The food as always is amazing ( only reason for going back- why should we loose out in good food ) Last date of visit 17/4 ordered 4 adult meals and 4 children meals Service no word for it Initially the waiter asked us 3 times if we need anything within first few minutes and then disappeared Once decided we tried to get someone’s attention to take our order The manager cleaned tables around us and ignored us ( bearing in mind there was only 7 other customers in the whole place (4, 2,1) - not exactly busy) After waiting and trying to get the managers attention whilst he continued wiping down tables the chef eventually shouted him Instead of taking our order the manager went and got the waiter to come and take our order. The waiter was apologised took the order All the food not only looked amazing bust tasted amazing too - the only down side being be the dough balls are getting very small. When we finished we were one of 2 tables of customers. Throughout no one checked if everything was ok or if we needed anything else we literally had to call for them - both managers looked very stern/ grumpy. I visited Pizza Express today with my 2 year old son. I arrived at this P.E restaurant at around 7pm and it was a little busy but not too bad and we were seated straight away. It took about 10-15 minutes for my order to be taken. While waiting for food, a big table of 6-8 were seated and another of 3. These people ordered after us and recieved their food before us. One of these tables had appeared to have a variety of problems with their order and final bill and left the restaurant particularly agitated and annoyed. After 40 minutes I asked where our food was to which I was told that the order hadn't printed correctly and my order was on it's way. 15 minutes later, about an hour after entering the restaurant, our food finally arrived. I was offered a free drink the apologise for the wait. After asking for the bill, it then took another 15-20 minutes to be given a card machine to pay. Didn't envisage spending my whole Thursday evening in Pizza Express and will not be recommending this particular P.E anytime soon! Service was poor due to the fact it seemed that one zoned out waiter was serving the whole floor with the occasional help...

I don’t usually leave bad reviews but was by far the worst pizza express I have ever been to. Once seated we were left waiting ages for anyone to take our order, the staff seemed completely uninterested and unorganised. Even though they were practically empty. After waiting over an hour our food came out all at different times. We even had to flag someone down to ask for condiments, drinks and missing orders which took multiple attempts, even then it felt like we were a burden. There was no apology for the delays, no check ins, just a general lack of interest. Once finished our food we went on to ask for for final part of the 3 course meal and were told the desert ovens had been turned off. They explained our waitress had left and failed to pass our order on earlier on. They said there was nothing they could do. The attitude from the staff was disgusting,eye rolling and full on attitude. Completely unprofessional. We managed to order our desert but decided to take it away due to the uncomfortable atmosphere. Would not recommend this location to anyone and might think twice about returning to any pizza...
