Shandaar Sweets & Ice Cream Bar — Restaurant in Bradford

Went here the other day because we didn't fancy a "proper" lunch and just wanted some ice-cream. Shandaar won the lottery, as they were the only local place open at lunchtime!! The rest are missing a trick!

We had seven different ice creams between us, and every single one of them was delicious and made in house we were told. A really nice mix of flavours, that should provide everyone with something they'd like. The price as well was brilliant! When vans are charging a fiver for a simple 99 in some areas, getting 4 scoops for a fiver is excellent.

We also tried their new dessert of gulab jamun, ice cream, and cream with pistachios and a pistachio sauce. Personally, I'm not a fan of cream, so it was a bit too much for me. I'd have liked the option of a second blob of ice cream instead of the cream, as that was lovely. The sauce had a really interesting taste, and I'd have liked a bit more of it to really taste it properly. The gulabs were nice, a good size, and well syrupped! Would be amazing if they could be warmed up to have the hot and cold on one spoon happening!

Finally, the staff were outstanding. They couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating, and they clearly knew their product well!

I would absolutely recommend this place for their ice cream; and I'll definitely be heading back to try some of their home made cakes, as they looked very tempting indeed! So get yourself down, and see which flavour is your favourite! (I'm torn between the dark chocolate and the hazelnutty one...

I would avoid ordering from this place. I placed my order which came to about £35.00 . When I called the gentleman had no idea on what he was doing . I was told it would be 30 minutes. I was waiting for over an hour until I had called them to ask how long my delivery would be . I was told they couldn’t find my address and was about to call me , which was not true at all as I had placed an order a week before and there was no issues at all . The drive arrived with my desserts with custard spilled everywhere in the bag . I called them back and said he would be back with a replacement . I had ordered a jam rolly Polly when the replacement had arrived the jam rolly Polly was hard as cardboard at this point I had given up . Really disappointed will not be ordering...

I ordered a Nutella crepe for £4.95 and thought i was gonna be given minimum 2 crepes on top of each other The wait was about 10minutes until my food came when i felt it, it was very light i sat down and opened the box to see 1 crepe folded three times which was loaded with strawberries, i honestly think that there was more strawberries than crepe, there was so less food i honestly think u can eat it within one bite The only good side to the crepe was it gave a scoop of gelato ice cream which was the best bit about it, but other than that i honestly will never waste £4.95 on a think crepe which is folded 3 times. To be honest u might as well go ice stone deserts down the road and spend an extra £4 to get what ur...
