Dear Butt Karahi management,
I am writing to express my deep concern regarding a recent experience I had with your restaurant, which raises serious issues about food safety, customer service, and overall management.
I had placed an order for tikka, but was mistakenly given someone else’s order. Upon realizing the error, I immediately contacted your team. During the call, the staff member was impatient, urging me to return the food quickly while mentioning that another customer was on the line. At that point, someone at home had already taken a bite of the incorrect order, as I was not present when it arrived.
What is most alarming is that I overheard the waiter instructing someone to repack the food—presumably for the rightful customer. This is not only unacceptable but also a serious violation of food safety standards.
What if something had been placed in the food, either accidentally or maliciously, after it left your premises? Who would take responsibility if a customer became sick? Furthermore, what if I had been given food that had already been tampered with or partially eaten?
While I did receive a refund for the food I ordered and was being offered a replacement, I left the naan at home, intending to pay for it. The manager kindly said not to worry about it. But please understand—this is not about the money. It’s about the potential health hazard and the complete disregard for customer well-being.
Most of all, this ruined a moment that was meant to be spent peacefully with my family. Instead of enjoying a meal together, we were left frustrated and concerned. The quality of our time was disrupted, which cannot be refunded or undone, it took about 1-2 hours for me to be able to eat food at home.
I urge you to take this matter seriously. It’s not just a customer service issue—it’s a public health concern. I strongly recommend reviewing your food handling procedures and training your staff appropriately. I also believe this should be brought to the attention of food safety authorities if improvements...

Wish I could rate it lower than 1 star. Overpriced, bland food. The menu is very limited and most of the starters are only available in 1/2kg or 1kg.
The service is shockingly bad. Been to much busier restaurants than this and still not experienced this standard of service. Unfortunately as we had placed the order we thought to stick it out but regretted it. No one really seemed to know what they were doing.
We tried ordering biryani but got told that all rice dishes were not available but we did see other tables who came after us get rice dishes. Drinks didn't come out until we were well into the meal and had to chase for them. They didn't clear the table after starters and bought out mains with nowhere to put them.
The waitress kept bringing us kabuli pulao which we didn't order (we were told theyd ran out of rice dishes...)and we sent it back twice and each time she came back and just shrugged and said she didn't know. Overall such a chaotic experience, seemed like none of the staff knew what was going on at all.
We found a hair in the chapli kebab and They were kind to comp the kebab (which was returned) and a mixed grill platter so that's appreciated and was the only positive of the night.
Karahis were nothing special, the naans were very doughy and like 2 Inches thick.
The ventilation is shocking, surely its some type of health safety violation. The whole restaurant was so so smokey, it was stinging our eyes, not good for customers who might have allergies or respiratory issues or even for kids.
All in all, we were disappointed by the experience and won't visit again. Also this isn't the Lahore Butt karahi on Legrams Ln that closed down so beware if that's what you're expecting.
For full disclosure we did (reluctantly!) eat most of what we ordered because we didn't want it to go to waste and would be paying for it and also because of the fact that we were in there for what seemed like a good few hours with how slow...
Read moreAmbience is very nice but that's about it. Staff I can't fault the issue is not the staff. They are two teenagers who are not mature enough or skilled enough to handle the customers. Their customer service and rapport was fine but you could see how they struggled with difficult situations.
After placing our order one mixed grill, two naans, one pilau chicken and one bhaat karahi lamb we waited. Shortly after two naans arrived with the grill and a strange plate of plain rice with two tandoori legs on the rice. We sent back the rice for the girl to return with it and advise they don't have chicken cooked in the pilau this is what they have. This should of been informed to us previously.
No karahi was given. After finishing the pilau and the grill we still had our naans untouched, the girl came again and said their was a delay and the karahi was going to come out. She took away our naans and said would make fresh ones with the karahi. Thirty minutes passed and still no karahi. We called the waitress over who advised it will be ready soon and we will have it asap. We advised sadly this is of no use as we are no longer hungry. Three further attempts was made by the girl for us to wait and have the karahi which was not even ready. Finally when we said we cannot and do not want it we require the bill . She then advised it is now ready and if we do not take it then it will go to waist. This moral questioning was unpleasant but we still refused. The bill was brought and rightfully so they deducted the karahi. However they still charged us for the naan we did not eat. We did not argue and left.
Other than this their was a hygiene issue with flies everywhere. no management or adult staff which is very poor. The size of the mixed grill for the price was...
