Smokehouse — Restaurant in Bradford

So after seeing this place all over TikTok I wanted to try it for my birthday dinner. I want to start off by saying the service was very good. Great atmosphere the seating was very close together but everyone was minding their own buisness anyways so it didn’t stop me from conversing with my partner. I also brought my 2 year old with me and it was kid friendly so I was happy about that.

Inside the place looked great very modern and classy. We ordered our food (everything came fast) got out starters first which were the dynamite shrimp and the wagyu burger. In all honestly the starters were delicious the first bite of the wagyu burger was Amazing nothing could really top the taste I would rate it a 9/10 the dynamite shrimp was quite nice aswell 8/10.

Onto the mains I got the bbq beef rib with mash and my partner got the butterfly steak.

The bbq rib I will have to rate a 5/10 personally I’m not a fan of sweet savoury dishes and the bbq sauce was sweet and over powering for me. I should have gone for a steak or the brisket because I enjoy more savoury foods it all comes down to personal preference. ( lovely staff member did ask if I enjoyed my food and I gave my honest review and she told me she was sorry it wasn’t to my liking and that she could have swapped it for something else if I had liked which was very kind of her but I was already full).

My partner got the butterfly chicken I would rate it a 7/10 any one that loves a desi twist would love this steak it tasted very similar to tikka boti it was a little spicy so I would recommend this steak if you feel like a chicken steak when going there as the waitress did point out the chimmichuri steak was spicier. Lastly the Matilda cake was a solid 10/10 I loved it so did my husband and my son can’t fault it nice warm peices of thick cake lathered in chocolate with chocolate sauce yum and we washed it down with passion fruit mojito (6/10) and coke.

Been meaning to go to this place for a while since they opened So when I FINALLY managed to get to Smokehouse for dinner I was soooo looking forward to their famous 16-18 hour slow cooked brisket and their BBQ ribs of which I have heard nothing but positive reviews! Imagine my disappointment when they told us both these items had finished!!! I couldn’t believe it - I was contemplating what I should do when the Manager came over and apologised telling us they do put out notifications on the gram advising ppl of food that won’t be available that evening… so my bad for not checking but I assumed! However he gave us breakdown of other food on the menu that we should try and we decided to try the fillet and sirloin steaks, with mushroom and peppercorn sauce, with creamy beautiful mash & sautéed veg. All I gonna say was food was absolutely amazing and am sooo glad we got to try their famous steaks! The food was so delicious meat cooked to perfection I couldn’t fault it at all! RATED 10/10 Their signature Matilda cake was on another level prob the best chocolate fudge layered cake with the most amazing caramel sauce and house Icecream yummmm was in seventh heaven! I recently dined at this incredible brisket/steakhouse restaurant and I cannot say enough good things about my experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere. The decor was tasteful and inviting, with a rustic yet elegant vibe that made me feel right at home.
