Took over 15 minutes to get served at the bar with 3 people queuing, then proceeded to wait 45 minutes to an hour for some cheesy fries and halloumi fries, poor selection of lager bottles available also. Wouldn't say the place was overly busy when we arrived considering they had 3/4 members of staff on the bar and at least 2 other staff members collecting glasses/walking around. When he finally brought the food over, he said that he didn't write our number down which is why our food took so long but never apologised just said thank god that he found us. The menu is very basic and really poor service pretty much self service as you have to go back inside to get your own cutlery etc and dispose of your own food etc. Whilst we were sat down outside we heard multiple people complaining and by the time we'd received our food, a guy on the next table was complaining about there not being service outside anymore to which an older staff member replied that it's busy and told them that they now couldn't have food at all outside. Rude staff, food wasn't anything spectacular for the prices, poor service and atmosphere wasn't great, Won't...

We ate at the boathouse tonight, and it was not the greatest!! We had a ploughman's sharer starter that came in a take away pizza box (lol) it also came without the ham as stated in the menu, however after being told they did provide some. Most items were one of or 3 of which made "sharing" a little tricky! When we got to the grapes there was a tight cobweb between the grapes (puke) we alerted them, they offered other grapes but to be fair we didn't want any after that. We asked for a tap water which had something white floating in it (again puke). Then when we got to the mains one of us had scampi which was served in a plastic basket (lol) This is supposed to be good quality food at a decent price!!! Finally we got the bill and all items were charged, I had to tell them there was no way I was paying for the sharer and pointed out the other disappointments. They took off the sharer but left everything else, so not really goodwill upon complaining. The girl who served us was very pleasant and tried to accommodate our needs. But we definitely won't...

Visited the Boathouse inn restaraunt in Saltaire recently for the first time in January 2024 with my Husband and Father. Lovely setting by a river with outside seating area for food & Drinks, will be perfect in the warmer months. We sat inside at a table by the window with a pleasant view of the River Aire, cosy atmosphere,Staff were attentive and friendly. We chose 2 Sunday roast dinners and 1 chicken & Leek Pie with chips & Peas.. We ordered 2 roast Pork dinners but received 2 Beef dinners.. couldn't be bothered to ask to change them, Beef isn't my favourite meat and was a bit fatty, vegetables seemed to be frozen not fresh.. Roast potatoes were OK.. a lovely Yorkshire pudding and gravy. Didn't have desserts as we were too full. Drinks average price. Unfortunately there isn't a Carpark so my 86 year old father and myself walked inside first to our booked table whilst my husband parked the car on the road..wasn't too far from the restaurant. Will...

Went to the Boathouse for a late afternoon Lunch with the family. Ordered the Battered Fish and chips (see Photo). It was a great place with friendly service from the staff and served with a smile. Enjoyed the warm and friendly atmosphere. The views through the architecturally designed large minimalist windows added to the atmosphere of connecting to the outside space. The history of the boathouse can be felt through the building and the service was impeccable. I hope that a drinks menu can be introduced for the future for the restaurant area, everything else is available at the bar! Amazing Place!

Was up here for the Saltaire Festival, and this pub was just across the river. It's in an awesome location situated right next to the river and across from a field. Has a lovely outside area with plenty of seating. Staff were friendly and it has a good selection of drinks. They do sell food but I didn't eat here. It does have a little bit of the "chain pub" feel which i am not too keen on but that's more of a personal preference. I would come here more often if I lived in the area if for nothing else than the lovely sound of running water outside from a small nearby waterfall.
