Fantastic little place. I live in Newcastle but went down to Yorkshire to visit family that I hadn't seen in over 25 years so we went out for a bite & ended up in here. The staff were very welcoming & I think the lass that took our orders had recently started as she seemed a little nervous or something, not sure maybe she was having an off day I don't know but she went abovec& beyond either way as I can be picky with food & she made it seem like nothing was to much trouble where as I would have been very different with a pain like I can be with food.
She was very pretty & small so maybe the staff there will know who I mean with that limited description.
Anyway the food was amazing & the drinks were very good too, nice atmosphere & even all the other customers were all friendly.
As I said, I am from Newcastle Upon Tyne so I am used to very different things happening in our pubs & clubs. Some places are great but most nights there will be some kind of trouble but you can't beat our night life I will say that.
Either way I am going to be returning to Bingley in December so I dare say I will be going back to this wonderful place & if I am lucky I will be served by the same member of staff.

Read moreIronically they tried to make it better. But now it's the worst pub in bingley. Removing most decent drinks for overpriced garbage. Do they think its London? London prices for average beer. Do not go to potting shed. Save your money and go to any other pub. Disgusting how they have ruined something that could have been good. I wish I could have no stars.
In response to the reply from the manager which in credit I am thankful for your reply. In respect I use to be a regular in the potting shed with my friends and family. (They are not involved in this review). Back then you had carling, fosters and other various drinks that I loved. Now you removed all that and now only have the high end drinks. I expected a rise in price like we all did. I always got the carling for 3.75. (Basic drink I know) I wouldn't mind paying 3.95 for a carling. But the only drink I can get there which was a regular for me, is now a 4.60 San Miguel. Huge gap. I can go to the pub opposite and get it cheaper and they improved the pub. Its a shame. I loved the potting shed. Loved it.
(It's not letting me reply to the response made by the manager....
Read moreCalled on the Sunday before bank holiday and the place was packed with young adults and very loud. I got served immediately as no one at the bar, my friend followed me in 10mins later and was not so lucky. She stood at the bar for a full 20 minutes waiting to be served, people went to the bar and were served but they just seemed to ignore her. I offered to wait at the bar for her after 10mins but it had become a point principal to her. The straw that broke the camels back was when the young man behind the bar served the people at the side of her who had walked in 2 minutes earlier then another group of four walked in and he went straight to serve them. We decided to leave, such poor staffing I have never seen and I have been going in pubs for over 40years. Fortunately they did us a favor as we went to a lovely little pub round the corner and had a much better night than we would have had at the Potting Shed. I gave this review 1 star as the guy on the door was very welcoming and when we were leaving he had the decency to open the doors for us ( and there isn't an option for...
