The Thetford Albion — Restaurant in Breckland District

My recent visit to The Albion was an exercise in disappointment. Upon entering, the ambiance was less "cozy pub" and more "neglected community center." We approached the pool table, hoping for a brief respite, only to find the equipment as uncared for as the establishment itself.

Our intention to patronize the bar was met with an indifference that bordered on hostility. Despite our clear presence and eventual attempts to order, we were met with dismissive glances and an overall sense of being unwelcome. The staff made it clear that our presence was contingent upon immediate consumption, uttering phrases that dripped with disdain.

Adding insult to injury, the staff flagrantly disregarded health and safety norms by vaping indoors. As someone with asthma, I found this not only unprofessional but also potentially hazardous. The lack of consideration was astounding.

In conclusion, The Albion offers neither the conviviality of a traditional pub nor the basic courtesy one expects from a service establishment. The Thetford Albion is a very good pub and a wonderful karaoke place. We used to go every Friday and I really enjoyed this. It's a great value for what you get and I particularly liked the snooker table and the people here are wonderful, it's always a good banter and I've got nothing but lovely memories to remember...
