Maybe not the most flattering pictures. Perhaps the flavours just didn't agree with me but I just found the burger to have a strangely strong unpleasant flavour, not sure from what ingredient but not from the meat it seemed.
2 small croquettes was not worth the price, they tasted ok.
The garlic sauce was too smooth and unpleasantly tangy.
Fries were ok.
I'll order from here again just because the other reviews are so good. For my second try I had the chicken. It was not bad but not good enough for me to change my review score. "Hi Asher,
I feel this one of those situations where even after I attempt to reach out and investigate your original complaint which was a little vague, your second one is even more cryptic to me. I'd be arrogant to think we are for everyone, we also know that our customers almost always reflect our hard work and product in a positive light. I believe after seeing your previous reviews for other establishments, we are never going to be what you consider to be a 'good' eating experience. If everyone held 'Five Guys' as the standard you have demonstrated in admiration over some great independent Bristol businesses I've personally dined at, the hospitality industry in my opinion is doomed to bland, processed and shop bought produce for life and we refuse to be a part of that - the public deserves better. But genuinely all the best to you, sorry we couldn't crack the code for you.
Fonzy GM" 10/01/24: Hi Fonzy, just noticed you replied and you're getting a bit salty too! It's important to appreciate that reviews from customers are subjective and most of the time there will probably be no method to how people review establishments, leading to inconsistency in their review history.
Now, I do have a method, there are 3 elements to it: taste, price and expectations. Put simply, I don't expect much from five guys, it's cheap and it has a nice classic taste I enjoy, hence why I reviewed it so highly. And for Asado, I have high expectations due to other reviews and the claims the restaurant makes of fresh ingredients and such, it's relatively quite expensive and, well you know what I think of the taste.
I don't think you can compare the rating I gave to Asado and five guys and conclude five guys provides objectively superior food, because that's not true. It's all a rather relative exercise. Obviously I'm no professional food reviewer so there will always be some inconsistency that could come from how I simply feel on the day.
Rest assured, I believe in giving places many chances, especially when they're as highly reviewed as Asado, so I will likely try again. Overall I am pleased to see how passionate you are but this excess saltiness could probably leave others a little parched.
This is a couple weeks late: Upon further thought, it is such an unbelievably rude, petty and belittling thing for fonzy to have done, to have crawled through my past reviews and then bring one up here as an attempt to discredit my tastes. How utterly pathetic. Third try I had the Pollo fuego. I did want to like it, if only to not incur Fonzy's wrath but this time it was not very good. There was not much sauce and the chicken patties were very overdone, the breading had become hard and tasted overcooked. Will be keeping this review at 3 stars but maybe it deserves less now.

The overall eating experience at Asados was absolutely amazing. Firstly, the service was perfect, friendly, attentive staff that made us feel well looked after throughout, talking us through the menu, provided recommendations and made sure we were happy throughout the evening, couldn't have asked for better service that made the atmosphere at Asados so warm and welcoming.
We recommend you start the evening with a glass of their homemade soda, we had the apple and cinnamon and the raspberry which were both great and refreshing.
The food was overall great and the portions generous. Our starters were the beef crochettas and burnt ends and the beef crochettas are a must try, fantastic, and while the burnt ends were flavourful, especially the BBQ sauce and the fat super soft, the meat of the burnt ends can be a bit too chewy. Now the main event, the burgers, we got the El Guiri, a limited time beef burger which came topped with roast beef and came with a big dipping pot of their homemade gravy, and the Pollo Parmo chicken burger that came topped with marinara sauce and parmesan cheese. All their burgers come with rosemary fries that were nice and crispy on their own but they also offer a range of ways to make them much more exciting, cheese, pulled beef, sauces you name it. The El Guiri, if you love a good Sunday roast and a burger this ones perfect for you, coming with a pot of the most flavourful creamy gravy to dip your burger and fries into to make a truly unforgettable eating experience, the only flaw I could find was that the roast beef was a bit too chewy and if your looking for those classic burger flavours they can get a bit lost amongst those of the gravy and roast beef. They offer that the burger can be cooked medium or well done we went for medium and it was cooked perfectly. Overall a very good burger that can be hard to find under a pile of delicious toppings, offering a potentially polarising but enjoyable experience. The Pollo Parmo was an incredible chicken burger made up of the most tender fried chicken thighs we've ever had, so juicy and full of flavour, the toppings of marinara sauce and parmesan, while pleasant didnt quite reach the incredibly high bar set by the chicken. Next time we agreed that the more traditional chicken burger options on the menu, that is still served with their chicken thighs, would be our choice.
Overall, Asados stands as the best burger place in Bristol but just falls short if your looking for the best burger but don't let that deter you from visiting because the eating experience here is second to none and leaves you wanting to come back and explore the rest...

As I entered the restaurant three things stood out to me: the beautiful smells, the energising music and the endlessly welcoming smile of the server as he approached to take me to my table. This was all within the first few seconds of my experience and it just kept getting better.
I was shown the menu, which has a fantastic selection that caters to all kinds of burger lovers, from the veggies to the chicken chompers and everything in between. It was all very reasonably priced, especially considering that every sandwich comes with chips. The specials sounded delicious, including the jalapeño poppers which I was told use a whole pepper for that extra crunch.
However I was here for lunch and it was my first time so I opted for the “Asado Burger” and a coffee. I was given the option to have my burger served well done or juicy, so obviously went for juicy, and oh boy was it juicy! Along with the proper good confit garlic mayo and fabulously floral chimichurri (Spanish pesto), the perfectly cooked burger flaunted its juiciness in every bite.
The coffee was made with Colombian beans which happen to be my favourite. It was creamy and at a perfect temperature to drink right away and again was served with a smile.
If I had to say anything remotely critical it would be the small serving of garlic mayo that I received that didn’t quite last me through my chips and for the price, I would have expected a bit more. However I was left feeling perfectly full and ready for the rest of my day, feeling very happy to have supported a lovely business with a clear focus on bringing their customers only the best!
Well done guys and...
