Good place to buffet. It had a good ambience compared to zaza bazaar but the food variety is less comparitvely. Lovely hosts n you have teppanyaki which is not in most of the restaurants that I have been. You can try once I loved the deserts n roasted duck n mocktail

Asian dishes China’s cuisine can be broken up into roughly eight regions: Cantonese, Sichuan, Anhui, Shandong, Fujian, Jiangsu, Hunan, Zhejiang. Tour the Asian continent with our hand-picked tasters of the region’s most authentic dishes, enjoy Mongolian stir-fried lamb or make up your own crispy duck rolls by assembling freshly roasted duck, spring onion, cucumber and plum sauce.
Teppanyaki dishes The word teppanyaki is derived from the Japanese words teppan (which means iron plate) and yaki (which means grilled, broiled, or pan-fried). Choose from fresh salmon, scallops, steak, or juicy tiger prawns and watch as COSMO’s talented chefs cook it in front of you on an iron griddle to lock in the flavour.
Indian spicy dishes Spice it up with a choice of South-East Asian favourites, from authentic Kashmiri lamb and crispy pakora to creamy chicken tikka masala drizzled with yogurt and an aromatic saag aloo. Mop up the delicious sauces with fluffy naan and load your plate up with a selection of pickles and chutneys. COSMO’s talented chefs lay on a full Indian banquet, with dishes prepared in small batches that are constantly replenished.
Continental dishes The modern pizza was invented in Naples and was sold from open-air stands, before being introduced to the world by Italian immigrants. With favourites like spaghetti and meatballs and a huge range of vegetarian options, there’s something for everyone. Don’t leave without trying COSMO’s authentic pizzas either, which are expertly cooked in wood-fired ovens
Tasting dishes The great thing about small plates is that you get to try a little bit of everything without getting too full. Our tasting kitchen is a tour de force of the world’s most popular dishes, from mini burgers and chilli con carne to small portions of Greek moussaka and a comforting shepherd’s pie. Why not pick a few to share or choose one as a starter?
Carvery dishes There are few things in life more comforting and British than a full roast dinner. Choose between expertly roasted turkey, lamb or beef with lashings of gravy, a choice of vegetables, fluffy Yorkshire puddings and the crowning glory of any roast dinner: roast potatoes. Not just for Sunday, COSMO’s roast dinner is fast becoming a week-long institution.
Deli dishes The deli as we know it was born in Germany in 1700s, before spreading to America. The word delicatessen originates from the Latin delicatus, meaning “delightful, pleasing”. From slivers of charcuterie and fresh salads to juicy olives and an assortment of cheeses, stop by our deli counter to enjoy a taste of the Med
Deserts Every year, 14 October marks National Dessert Day. But we wouldn’t suggest limiting indulging in dessert to just one day of the year, of course. From strawberry cheesecake to traditional Italian tiramisu, COSMO’s patisserie chefs whip up a tempting array of homemade, bite-sized cakes so you can have a taste of everything. With sweets aplenty, fresh fruit, a gelato counter and a chocolate fountain for you to dip marshmallows into, the sweet-toothed will be spoiled for choice.
Drinks From classic cocktails and a host of spirits to a carefully chosen selection of wine, beer and ale, our drinks menu is varied – and global. Enjoy a tipple with your meal or quench your thirst with free refills of your favourite soft drinks. To cap things off nicely, there's freshly brewed tea, coffee or indulgent...
Read moreI was really looking forward to this as someone on here wrote „best cosmo ever“. So I wouldn’t say high expectations, but at least that I’d enjoy it. However, it was sadly quite disappointing. The food was overcooked and dry (which makes sense when they have been around for some time). The sushi was... well I wouldn’t call it sushi. There was no tuna and salmon rolls. Only vegetable, egg and crab imitation meat rolls. The mussels in the Tom kha gai soup started decomposing themselves. I loaded some rice on my plate and bit into what felt like rocks, but it was dried up rice. So apparently they just dumped new rice on old one. I told the waiter and he told the cook who removed the rice. So at least they did something about it and I spared other customers of this unnecessary experience. The Indian selection was underwhelming. Their mushroom had a suspicious color and just tasted very mushy. The Italian was easy to miss as it was just a little section. The pasta didn’t look appetizing, so I didn’t try. The Chinese / south East Asian was huge, but its selection didn’t catch my selection and therefore I didn’t try everything. Apart from roast and potatoes dishes, I didn’t find anything English in there. I read shepherds pie on their website. Where was it? I enjoyed their teppanyaki. The salmon was very tasty and watching the cook was ok. Maybe some find it fascinating. (At other restaurants you just load everything on a plate, including vegetables and sauces, give it to the cook with a number plate and it gets delivered to your table. Here you can only choose 2 meats to be cooked). Their fried food was eatable such as lemon chicken stripes. I also took some sea food as I like them. Actually I tried here and there, but actually none of the foods stick to my mind and I can’t recall what I actually ate (we just went yesterday) Their dessert selection was good. I liked that you pick ice cream individually packed, as it can be unhygienic to scoop it yourself and others. The black and white chocolate fountains are an eye catch. You can dunk marshmallows on sticks in it. There is candy for decoration, cakes and 4 kinda of fruits. I found the pineapple cake weird as it’s pineapple with a layer of something I couldn’t figure out what it was. I didn’t like that some of the desserts (tiramisu, Eton mess) were in plastic cups. Glas would be a better option. The plastic decoration fruits were confusing. Reminded me of kindergarten where you can play and sell fruit market. I’m pretty sure another decoration would fit better. I ordered refillable drinks, but somehow always tasted a hint of soap. So all in all is Cosmo is just a bigger all you can eat Chinese buffet with a few non-Asian dishes. As the evening proceeded, more and more guests came. I had more to choose from, but somehow I didn’t try new things although I love that. So to me, a normal Chinese all you can eat restaurant does the trick too. And I really missed the sushi here! I’d give it 3 stars, if I was willing to come back. I mean this is a good compromise if you can’t decide where to eat, but the quality is just so low and I wouldn’t know which food I’d pick to fill my stomach. Also it’s quite pricey. One star for desserts, another for acting on my complaint. Anyhow, food didn’t stand out and it was just bad. I really wonder how come cosmo got so many good reviews. Is it just me? Or did they only have bad cooks...
Read moreWe’ve been to a few different cosmo branches before and loved them so were really excited to come to this one as we’d never come before but if this was our first time going to a cosmo I don’t think we’d go back ever again to any. It is a very small branch which half the choices of the other cosmos I’d been to. The main dining area is extremely over crowded with people struggling to walk past each other which can be a bit chaotic when carrying hot food. Many of the plates were dirty on the stack before you could get to a clean one. If a server takes your cutlery away there are only spoons available unless you manage to grab someone to ask for more cutlery. The cold seafood next to the salad area was vile to the point of some of us gagging and having to spit it out into a napkin. The lamb breast dish had an off cheese taste to it. The pancakes for the duck were over steamed to the point of them becoming doughy and impossible to pick up. There was one set of tongs for the dumplings section which meant cross contamination was inevitable so if you have an allergies or dietary restrictions you should just avoid it or bring your own tongs if that’s even possible. The entrance area to the toilets floor was sticky that our shoes were sticking to the floor when we left that area and the women’s toilets clearly weren’t being checked regularly because they were a state some cubicles were void of any paper whilst the rest had paper all over the floor. We witnessed so many people grab the sweeties and prawn crackers with their bare hands and now I know this isn’t cosmos fault and down to people having a lack of respect for others it was happening so regularly that surely staff should have seen it and taken some action but that’s just something to be aware of. I even witnessed someone drop a dessert on the floor, pick it up ans put it back on the display again not cosmos fault but if this is the kind of clientele the Bristol branch has I dread to think what I missed happening. Kids running everywhere screaming shouting even walking around barefoot again not cosmos fault but it just ruined the atmosphere as I’ve never experienced an evening like this in any other cosmo. A saving grace would be that the desserts that hadn’t made it to the floor were very much enjoyable and being replenished regularly. The staff were friendly in the short interactions had but I feel like this place needs a bit more managing as this night was not to the standards of what a...
