I had a great walk around Brandon Hill which I have enjoyed some great views of the city on a bright sunny day. The climb it was tough but it was worth it. The hill is the tallest in Bristol and I have discovered some interesting trees that were planted there like the oak tree that it was planted in 1902 in a commemoration of the coronation of King Edward VII and the Wilctonia that it was brought over to Bristol on SS Great Britain. Also there was the meadow and the wildlife to enjoy. Going to the Cabot Tower it was enjoyable as I have taken the route where the waterfall and small ponds were which was a blessing to sit under there on a hot summers day. Also by the ponds I have discovered wild strawberries. There is a playground and another area were teens were practising boxing.

Lovely place to spend an entire day 1. When you enter, there is a play area for kids on the left. There are slides and swings in sand for little ones. For teenagers there are other climbing slides and activities 2. There’s a area for health and fitness enthusiasts with benches and other stuff where you can work out The view from the top of hill is amazing. You can see the skyline and entire Bristol with the church backdrop You can go on the church too and have a much better view. There a small food joint on the hill serving pastas and coffees Overall very relaxing and wonderful experience.

This is one of the things of Bristol I appreciated the most. This lovely park is where the Cabot Tower is located, unfortunately, it's temporary closed because of the pandemic. Is not possible at the moment climb up to the stairs to visit the tower but it's still possible go around the park and arriving just down the tower to enjoy the nice view around from there, the highest point of the hill. There are some nice cascades in the park and benches to rest or maybe under the trees. I loved it 😊

Great peaceful spot with nice views of Bristol especially from the top of the tower should you be feeling energetic to climb the steps. Wouldn't expect it being in the middle of the City. Koi carp and ducks in the pond and plenty of squirrels after your sandwiches! Close to all local amenities of Park Street and Clifton triangle. Parking requires plenty of change and valid from 8am til 10pm. FREE on a Sunday. Definitely worth a visit if a bit of fresh air and moderate exercise required.

Brandon Hill is an inner city open parkland in Bristol. You can hand feed the squirrels monkey nuts in the summer time, there is a basketball court and you can climb Cabot Tower to take in some scenic views! Strangely I even witnessed someone fall into a pond near the top. You can access Brandon Hill from all of the left turns going up Park Street so if your visiting Bristol or just need a place to chill out you can take a stroll around and take in the scenic views of this wonderful city.
