I would give zero stars if I could. Our experience with Henbury Balti House last Saturday was genuinely one of the worst I've ever had from a takeaway. The ordeal started with a 90+ minute wait for our food, despite being told it was "5 minutes away". When it finally arrived, the driver couldn't take card payment, something we were never warned about when ordering. The subsequent phone call with the owner was shocking - he was rude, unapologetic, and tried to blame us for the situation. He then asked for my card details over the phone, which is insecure and unprofessional. But the final insult was the food itself. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. My King Prawn Balti Special had a miserable three prawns floating in sauce. The Lamb Biryani was a tiny portion that wouldn't satisfy a child. It was dry too. For an order costing nearly £30, the value was appalling. The food was so inadequate for two people that we ended up having to go and cook another meal from scratch. The owner's "tactic" of letting us eat and pay later wasn't an act of kindness; it was a solution to a problem they created. The entire experience was frustrating and disappointing. We paid the full amount via bank transfer the next working day, but I feel we paid for a terrible service and a meal that wasn't fit for purpose. This restaurant failed on every level: punctuality, customer service, communication, and most importantly, food quality and value. Don't let your evening be ruined like ours was. Avoid this place.

Thursday evening when the pub we wanted to go to was full so panic choice. But wow the food was good. It’s being your own beee but coop 100yards away. All the food was served streaming hot and all was tasty. Everyone in the group loved their food and their was generous portions. The decor and layout wasn’t top notch but the food that came out was so happy days. I’m total their was 5 people in the restaurant so felt it was more a takeaway place

Amaing little place, Staff was friendly. Good atmosphere. Customers where locals and was very friendly and full of praise. Don't serve alcohol but allow you to bring your own for a small corkage fee. Food was amazing, Very large selection. Portion size was good, defeated me and my colleague who are very hungry people 😂 Would definitely recommend Nd will be visiting again if in the area.

FANTASTIC! Keep going back for more. This is one of the best Indian restaurants in Bristol at the moment. Always a friendly welcome when I arrive to collect a takeaway - something I've been doing a lot recently because the food is so good. Everything tastes really fresh and you can tell that they use proper ingredients and the chefs know what they're doing. I've tried the chicken bhuna and chicken tikka rezala and they were pefect. So many interesting dishes on the menu, I'll be trying some more. Not eaten in so far, only takeaways - but will have to go for a 'sit down' soon. It's BYO for drinks. Always surprised that such a fantastic little restaurant isn't busier as it's always quiet when I have visited. It deserves to be busy as the food is great, it's very well run and the prices are sensible. If you're this side of Bristol, I recommend you try it soon. Top marks and many thanks to the team at Henbury Balti....

The service I received this evening was absolutely dreadful, ordered at 5 pm for the delivery to arrive at 6:50 pm, 40 minutes after the time it was scheduled to be delivered. We live approximately 2 minutes from the restaurant and instead they decided to send the delivery driver on a goose chase to leave our food to go cold. After calling them numerous times and them ensuring us it was 5 minutes away on three separate occasions the food then arrived stone cold and the driver and restaurant all decided to start playing the blame game with each other. No offer of any sort of rectification and they were happy for us to send a £45 order back. Extremely rude individuals running the phone line, they kindly informed me the manager was out so it’s quite clear to see what happens then, the place turns to a real mess. Will not be...
