I recently had the worst experience with customer service at McDonald’s Fishponds. While waiting for my order, I noticed other customers around me trying to ask staff about their orders, myself included. Instead of listening or updating us on wait times, the staff seemed more interested in chatting and joking with each other in the kitchen, completely ignoring the waiting customers. It felt like we were an inconvenience to them rather than valued customers.
One customer politely asked why they were being ignored, to which the manager responded rudely. When the manager eventually served this customer, she didn’t even hand back the change properly; instead, she dropped it on the table, causing coins to fall on the floor. It was an embarrassing situation for the customer and entirely avoidable if basic manners had been followed.
I approached the staff and asked if they could at least communicate with customers about how long the orders might take. They responded by saying they were “really busy with food cooking,” but from where I was standing, it didn’t look busy at all. In fact, there was only one customer waiting for a delivery, which was me, and only one person at the cash till.
As someone who also works at a front desk, I understand what a hectic and busy environment can feel like, but I would never be rude or ignore customers. The lack of professionalism and basic courtesy at this McDonald’s location was truly disappointing. I hope they can improve their customer service because this was an incredibly poor experience.

Read moreWe came here after our sons birthday party with his friends and parents, 8 of us in total, we spent a fair amount whilst we were there and ordered mcflurries after our meals, all table service which took a little whilst, we were there for just over an hour and a half in total, when we left we noticed signs in the car park stating maximum stay of 90 mins, we had exceeded this by around 10 mins, we returned to speak to the duty manager and they said that they would take our registrations and would sort the parking as we were customers and we had spent quite a bit whilst there, but if a ticket came through then to return with our receipt and they would sort it out, fast forward a week and the parking tickets came through, two in total, one for us and another for our friends car, I returned today with the parking ticket and the receipts from the day to prove we were customers not just parking in the space and shopping elsewhere only to be told bluntly by a different duty manager that we overstayed, so they wouldn’t do anything about it, if we were contractors then they would waive the charge but they didn’t do it for customers, So now we had an extra £120 to pay for our trip to McDonald’s (2 tickets for £60 of we pairs within 14 days) I understand if people park and don’t patronise the restaurant but to charge customers who have been there the whole time spending money is unacceptable! Read moreThis is to bring to your attention about your staff khushali whose behaviour has been abmysal.I work in a MNC as a senior advisor and as a part time hobby i do a delivery job.I visited your store for a order pick-up and i was taken aback by the behaviour of your staff who were busy gossiping rather than attending my query from her behaviour i could make out that she looked down on delivery jobs and ppl doing it. Among the many staff i could read her name from the batch there was also a chinese national whose name i couldn't read. These staff are ruining the global reputation of your brand being in MNCs i know how global reputation is necessary for brands but such behaviour will only bring shame to your store. I have been visiting many other stores including burger King but their is hardly ever any issue with the staff. If you think this as a one off concern you should ask your company to have a surprise check and you will find the behaviour of those working very indifferent to ppl of colour. If appropriate action is not taken against such individuals i will be forced to write on social media platforms and bring it to light among larger audience. The staff believe that riders are some subhuman and nobody will complaint against such racist behaviour of theirs.
