This is the worst place for food. I didn’t expect authentic but it at least should be decent. I have started questioning if the reviews here are genuine as there are 1,3000 people reviews with 4.7 when the restaurant has just opened and the food has an extremely unacceptable taste. If you see the famous restaurants that have opened for a decade they won’t have such a lot of people reviewing like this. I paid around £80 for 2 people. Let me start review from bubble Thai tea , the tapioca are either overcooked or undercooked and it was so hard, tea taste sucks. Next dish is som tum, it’s a papaya salad which need to be smashed in morter as you can’t eat hard raw papaya and the ingredients won’t mix into papaya, they think that customers got strong jaw to bite raw uncrushed papaya? I had to put it in my take away and bring home to smash it at home, what disappointed me is I saw the chain owner is THAI so the dish should be served decently!! You sold me som tum but I don’t know what you served me. For Tom yum , it’s nothing like Tom yum at all it’s hurt my stomach as it probably use the paste not fresh cooked and probably bottle lemon juice , which I can also do it at home. Sticky rice is awful it’s very soggy, does not look like rice but a paste of flour, jasmine rice is cheap quality. Sea bass fish is just ok. I feel robbed but didn’t complain as they asked how was the food when billing and I was too frustrated to say anything but want to get out. I also questioned why there are 56.8k followers on IG when the food is really bad and the amount of followers are more than that of famous fine dining restaurants. There are other Thai restaurants in Bristol that are nicer. Avoid this place.

This is Thai food produced for the masses, so if you like your Thai food to be a little more realistic or spicy, probably a good idea to go elsewhere. We went on a very busy Friday night and it was a case of being processed through with no warmth or welcome / goodbyes from the staff. Food was tasty, however I asked for mine to be more spicy and it wasn't at all, more like stew. Having eaten at Rosas in London regularly, this was disappointing. We finished it, but smaller Thai restaurants are definitely a better bet in Bristol. Nothing memorable at all about this visit, the staff just wanted the table back almost as soon as we sat down.

Great atmosphere for a more relaxed dining experience. The food was delicious, the perfect amount of spicy and there were plenty of different options for me as I was really craving veggies that evening. The kale tempura was particularly excellent, light and crispy. Our server, Anny, was really helpful. Absolutely would come here again!

Food is delicious and the service is better than average. Overall, we did love it but the layout of the restaurant could do with changing.

The platter for 2 is probably the best sharing platter we've had in a Thai restaurant. Each component packed with flavour, it was a 10/10!

We ordered the prawn pad see ewe and the pork belly pad kra prao. I'm kind of disappointed in the pork belly, I know pork belly is fatty but it felt like they barely gave me any meat and it was mostly large chunks of fat. At least cook the pork belly a bit more so that fat could crispen up. I just wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt that all their pork belly pad kra pao's are like this but when we walked out, I saw another customer get served the same dish and hers barely had any fat on it....the proportions of fat and meat could be better dealt with and distributed better. ,My favourite part of the meal was the egg - it was crispy on the edges and the yolk was orange and creamy in the middle. This is what every fried egg should be like but the fact that the egg was the highlight of a pad kra prao says a lot about the dish. Please remember to give a good and equal amount of fat and meat to every customer who ordered the pork belly pad kra prao.

We had the thai churros with condensed milk to hsare for dessert and also a thai coffee with condensed milk. The proportion for the condensed milk with the coffee was a joke. I was given more than a cups worth of coffee but barely any condensed milk and I felt like it barely did anything to the taste. Yes the colour of the coffee changed colour significantly but I did not taste the condensed milk.

The service was great at the start but they did become slower and slower in serving us which was quite frustrating as it was Sunday lunch time and they weren't busy at all. I even seen some of the staff looking for things to do while we were trying to get their attention. EXCEPT we couldnt really get their attention because we were placed on a small table in the corner covered by a wall of blinds so they cant exactly see us. We get that this is part of the 'aesthetic' but it is not at all practical when the staff cant see us when we need their attention.

Overall, I would come back because we did love the shared platter. I would definitely order a different main and if they try to sit us again in the corner by the wall/blinds, I will ask for a...

Rosa's Thai: Our experience began poorly with an awkward few-minute wait in the doorway, as there was no designated waiting area. This was made uncomfortable by staff members seemingly ignoring us while other patrons navigated past. Eventually, a female staff member inquired about a booking, and upon learning we didn't have one, she simply walked away without offering any assistance. It was a male member of staff, dressed in plain clothes and lacking any uniform, who finally approached us and found us a table. The initial wait for food and drink orders was thankfully short. However, our disappointment soon returned with the arrival of the prawn crackers, which were served with a cling film cover and a date sticker indicating they were from the previous day – raising concerns about freshness. Furthermore, the accompanying peanut sauce was a meagre portion, less than a teaspoon for two people. The main course brought another issue. I was served a chicken curry instead of the beef masaman I had ordered. When I informed the male staff member of this error, he appeared skeptical and only agreed to replace the dish after examining the crumpled order ticket. A few minutes later, we were offered more drinks, and I requested a drinks menu. This took an unacceptable five minutes to arrive, and subsequently, we were left unattended for nearly fifteen minutes. During this time, several staff members were observed conversing near the kitchen pass, seemingly oblivious to waiting customers. The male staff member, who had previously seated us, continued serving other tables, and I had to actively seek his attention to finally place our drink order. Eventually, a younger female staff member, who appeared to be new, approached to take a drinks order, but we had already given ours. Ten minutes later, our drinks finally arrived, delivered by the bar person. Given the consistently poor and inattentive service we received throughout our visit, we were extremely dissatisfied with the £10 service charge automatically added to our bill. This fee felt entirely unwarranted and added insult to injury. We were thoroughly unimpressed with our experience at Rosa's Thai and have no intention of returning. We will also be sharing our negative experience with...

We ate here a party of six celebrating a birthday as it was not our first choice as the venue that we wanted to visit was closed. When we arrived the restaurant was about half full and there were two waitresses serving all.

We sat down ordered our drinks and these took about 15 minutes to arrive. When we ordered our food we were informed that there was no sticky rice they had sole out and no tofu and as one of our party was a vegetarian he had to settle for vegetables instead.

The starters arrived the sweetcorn fritters were good, the Summer Rolls excellent, the calamari was sour and spicy as was the Som Tum' Green Papaya Salad.

After a while the mains arrived and then it all went downhill. I ordered a small Som Tum' Green Papaya Salad with pork skewers and coconut rice but the order got mixed up. Unlike the previous Som Tum mine was bland and there was no chilli so I ended up adding chilli. Likewise the coconut rice was missing a lot of coconut flavour.

Three dishes came on hot plates but the food was cold so we sent them back. when they came back they were still only lukewarm and we sent them back again.

We wanted to complain but did not so as not to upset the birthday celebrant but, in all honesty, the whole visit was a disaster and we will not be returning.

The waitress was apologetic saying that they had run out of stock over the Christmas period but we felt that the whole place was seriously understaffed and that the kitchen was working to just a couple of cooks.

When the bill came there was an added service charge that we would have disputed given the poor service that we received but as it was a birthday celebration we did not want to argue in front of the celebrant

We like Asian food Obento is always a good choice as is the soon to be re-opened Mayflower but considering the money we spent it was not good value forgot to mention the service was bad yet they added a service...
