The Attic — Restaurant in Bristol

We came to enjoy the music and atmosphere here. We tried to have a game of pool but someone looking like he didn't belong said we had to play him first. The whole time a bouncer was staring at him. We agreed and tried to play a game, some girls interrupted and moved the balls, annoyingly.

The person we were playing proceeded to throw pool balls across the room, violently. The staff removed him quickly, but not before he launched one of the balls at my friend's head.

They never asked if he was OK. Or apologised at all. In fact they completely ignored him. A while later, he was told he had to move from the area, they didn't care that he explained that he had an injury. They said he had to stop leaning against the pool table despite his injured head.

This is not a correct response from a bar that asserts it has a first aid kit on site. If the person in question was being watched, I don't understand why he was allowed to assault my friend before being stopped.

Whilst it's an amazing venue for authentic Brizzle-ness, I feel like more attention could be paid to those of us not on a different plain of existance and are aware of things like the state of the toilets... Always flooded (I shudder to think with what) and never any toilet roll in the ladies. Had some of the best and worst nights out I've had there! Staff are always pretty friendly and usually service is fairly good. Discovered some awesome music there that I probably wouldn't have come across elsewhere, from amazing reggae to balkan beats! I do love the Attic, I just don't like pee...

Love it here! Went for a couple of pints with my partner, there is constant live mixing and the vibe is on point. Even though we didn’t have any food it smelt and looked delicious!
