The Sandwich Box — Restaurant in Bristol

Definitely the worst experience I have had in a sandwich shop/takeaway ever! Let me summarise...

Service:

The staff in this shop have definitely never heard of service with a smile! More like service with a scowl... the lady was very rude, maybe unintentionally or judging by the other reviews quite possibly intentionally... the women working here looked like they hadn't slept for a week.

Food:

The breakfast I got was abysmal. Dry, rubbery bacon. Chewy sausages. Watery, tasteless beans. The food was all just sitting there on the side, part cooked and uncovered for how knows long. I do not believe anybody in this "shop" has the slightest inkling about food safety. About 8 hours after eating it I started getting SEVERE stomach cramps and then you know what came next... yes... about an hour sitting on the toilet.

Hygiene:

The shop didn't look too unclean at first glance when I came in but that's where the positives end. There was no washing hands between handling cash and making food. The woman who preparing somebodies food picked up some old, blue gloves covered in grime sitting on a very dirty and unwiped counter and just put them on very nonchalantly and began to make that poor souls sandwich! These gloves literally looked days old. Then a blond woman with a piercing and long fake nails who was doing coffees LITERALLY PICKED HER NOSE RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. SHE DIDNT EVEN GO TO THE BACK OR TRY TO HIDE THIS. It makes you wonder, if that is what she is doing infront of you, what on earth goes on in the back room when they are prepping? I dread to think.

Summary: avoid this place at all costs, there is literally nothing good I can say about this place and would not recommend to my worst enemy! Was not even very good value for money. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! This place needs to be closed before they...

Terrible customer service, one lady is okay but the other is incredibly rude. I asked what's in a bacon sandwich is it just bacon or anything else inside? And then she scoffed at me and said 'what's in a bacon sandwich, what kind of question is that' as if she was so disgusted by the question.
