Well I have to say Loius I agree that the pub was a shambles! I noticed a weed they had failed to dig up by the front door and this instantly put me into a rather irritated and highly critical mood. In addition I was apoplectic as I entered and the door ( avoiding the weed) I noticed the door mat was an oval shape and I have an irrational fear of this shape. Pubs should take this into account and seek customer preference before taking such momentous decisions on mat size and shape.

As to the gaps on the tables I couldn’t agree more as my friend lent forward to save his drink, over balanced and was immediately sucked through the gap in into another dimension. I have spoke to the staff and they said that he will hopefully reappear when they open tomorrow.

Apparently it has happened before and HSE are now involved to arrange these gaps are now reduced to the minimum allowed for people who can’t put their drinks down properly. By the way loved your 5 star review of the Bear Pit. Keep up the...

If you're looking for a friendly pub that serves a wide selection of beers and ciders that's off the main Saturday night strip, the Cornubia's for you.

The beer mats that adorn the walls give an indication as to just how keen they are to offer a very wide range to their customers, and the cider selection is pretty good too - they normally have a few boxes of cider on the counter as well as the usual suspects on draught.

There's a small seating area outside, and the pub also host a number of live music nights too.

It's not the sort of pub you'll stumble across on a normal night out, but make the effort to hunt it down and you won't be disappointed. Great for those who are looking for a decent pint without the rowdiness of the...

Great pub offering a range of real ales and ciders. The focus is on local breweries with the house beer, Cornubia oddly enough, brewed differently according to the season. Everything we tried was exceptionally well kept and at really good prices.

In better weather I'm sure the extensive beer garden is a pleasure. Friendly staff who were very keen to make suggestions based on our preferences.

The pub is also really handy for Temple Meads station so of you've got a train to catch it's worth leaving extra time to stop in...

I love this place, it is always very busy and can be hard to find a seat even with just 2 of you. It is more on the crafty side drinks wise, I recommend trying things before getting a pint if you're unsure, which the staff are always fine with. I'm always a bit dubious with the scotch eggs as they aren't kept in a fridge or warmer, they're just on the bar, but people seem to order and enjoy them. Decor is awesome, garden is stunning, staff are knowledgeable and friendly and I definitely recommend a visit if you're in Bristol

This is a great place to get a good drink! Very chilled atmosphere, has seating inside and lots of space outdoors too. Perfect for a sunny afternoon evening. The venue is full of character and very unique. I really like the feel of this place. Great selection of drinks, especially good quality ales. Has snack and sandwiches on offer that look good. Staff are friendly. Location is central but not likely a place you will stumble across unless your are looking for it. Would recommend to anyone looking for a chilled drink.

First time trying this lovely pub. It’s a proper oasis of a pub as it’s totally surrounded by tall office buildings so you don’t expect it to be here. It has an amazing well maintained beer garden with a water feature and lots of bird feeders. Came here for real cider and they had a few on, went with a Harry’s Corker a properly farmhouse cider just the job on a sunny afternoon Highly recommended
