I have eaten in a number of these, as they are normally located with a Premier Inn. But this one has to be the worst, for a number of reasons. Firstly the restaurant was filthy, the bench seat as you enter on the left behind the coffee machines. It felt slimy. Look at it and tell me it is not dirty? Under the same bench is a fork and a spoon, which was there for 15 days, and I bet it is still there. How long has it been there before I got there? Breakfast was hit or miss, sometimes buffet sometimes order, and no reason which or why. The wait staff for the most part were very nice. However I have never been offered to go outside by a duty manager, because of his lack of humour. The staff behind the bar (ladies) were busy, and a colleague of mine said is anyone working today? He took offence, and if he had realised we already had a laugh with the ladies he could have saved his embarrassment and looking like a petulant little boy. Evening meals were ok, if a little dry at times. Which is a shame as I said, I stay at Premier Inns regularly. They are normally very good. Will I return? Only if I have to for work

Had to change rating to one star A rating 4 years ago was 5 star Today is only one Star I'm going into the premises to the premises I asked the lady the 1st saw can I have a breakfast please She immediately turned away from me and walked to the other side of the bar Not knowing what she's doing I want to grab a cup of tea Then she's calling for me to compare the tale For which I'm fine with When I spoke to her saying I didn't know what she was doing as she immediately walked away But not engage with me to let me know what she's doing The face was extremely blank I'd paid for my breakfast The bad interaction from the staff I've put me off having a breakfast I ate Most of what was on offer Yeah the staff set the mood and I didn't enjoy it at all As a paying customer eat Out it should be all about the experience Today my experience was extremely rude

My friend had a wheelchair and it wasn't the easiest most accessible place for wheel chair user, after ordering we wondered where food was waiting staff totally inadequate took nearly an hour for fish and chips and a burger meal. It came after we enquired with the bar man he was shocked that we hadn't received it yet. When it came it came hot so they cooked from fresh we asked staff what took so long they just plainly lied saying we were told you were inside when we stated we were outside. They couldn't find us they didn't ask the bar man what we looked like then? The lady waiting on us was seen chatting with colleagues when should be working plates of food and glasses left outside check the pics feel the staff are lead by bad management a very bad example for the company. They need to shake them up drastically so furious with how we were treated.

Truly awful experience. Decided to treat family to breakfast there, and it ended up more like a nightmare! Order the full breakfast buffet for all six of us, who range in age from 50's down to three years old. After being seated we are told that they have run out of apple juice, bread, croissants and pain au chocolat! Straight away that's the little ones breakfast completely out the window. At the same time as telling us what wasn't available, the waitress also took out drinks order. Six orange juices and three cups of tea. Simple enough? Nope. After waiting fifteen minutes I decided to chase them up and lo and behold, a couple of minutes later they turn up. Woop, woop! Six glasses of orange juice, three empty mugs and directions to where to get the hot water for making your tea. Total wait time for drinks, just under twenty minutes and no order taken for our hot food. Eventually our order was taken and then the wait for our cooked food began. The younger ones were getting bored and hungry. Hurrah!! Only twenty minutes after ordering it, our cooked breakfast arrives and we start to tuck in.... Disaster strikes when we discover a long black hair embedded in the baked beans. Off I toddle to the bar and ask politely for a replacement. Ten minutes later a different waitress appears with food. Only for it to have a my food order on it, not the food that a slightly fussy teenager was patiently waiting for. No worries, the waitress says that she'll be back ASAP with the correct food. Bearing in mind that this place does an unlimited cooked breakfast I say that I'll eat it (seeing as it's what I ordered first time round) I'm met with an abrupt "no, I'll return it to the kitchen" and off the waitress goes in a huff!

Definitely the worst experience ever whilst eating out. If you want good customer service skills, and everything that's on the menu, then avoid the Wessex Flyer...

WORST BREWERS FAYRE WE’VE EVER EATEN IN!!! Called in on a Saturday morning for breakfast with my husband. Was told we’d have to wait for 10mins for a table which wasn’t a problem. Paid for 2 cooked breakfasts which was self serving. We got our cups of tea and juice and left them on our table whilst joining the queue for Breakfast. We must have stood for approx 20mins waiting for replacement foods to come from the kitchen the plates went cold as did our toast and our cups of tea which we had to replace for hot ones. There appeared to very limited staff serving and those that were there was so stressed they didn’t know if they were coming or going. The coffee machine had ran out of beans so you ended up with frothy milk. Unfortunately without knowing, our daughter had booked a table at the same place for Sunday lunch. We didn’t tell her of our experience the day before so as not to spoil things. We had the carvery but again because of lack of staff there was only 1 chief at the server so when food items got low he had to leave his station to go to the kitchen to arrange more food. Disgusting really as what he’d served you was again getting cold whilst you waiting for the veg to come out. We waiting for the Yorkshire puddings but we decided to not bother as our party was waiting to eat. Seriously for the cost of what we paid we’d have been better off going to McDonalds. Would not recommend Wessex Flyer. Come on guys, either invest in more staff or rethink your cooking schedules because it’s really not acceptable to have people queuing for food that the food that they already have on their...

There is always at least 8 of us so being crammed around a large table in an alcove which really is not ideal to get in and out of. Food is average, service below average and prices are average. Although they say the carvery is served up until 6pm don't take the chance! We booked for 4.30pm. We all wanted the carvery but when we arrived there was only two dried up pieces of meat to choose from beef or turkey, very little veg and we scraped the bottom of the barrel for gravy. I personally chose a meal from the menu. The staff were pretty rude and made some of our family wait another 10 mins before they could pay for their food - what this achieved is a mystery 🤔 When asked 'Izack' (excuse the spelling!) was flustered, rude and when I told him his customer service and attitude was bad he said (holding his hands in the air 🤷‍♀️) 'I didn't care!' And believe me it certainly showed - THAT to our family said it all!! This place has certainly gone WAAAY down in our estimation. A line needs to be drawn and they really need to take some big steps back and have a good look at just what it is they're trying to achieve because what they are doing now is not acceptable to a lot of their customers! As for the price of their Christmas menu £54 p.p... think you'll be better off giving your money to a more deserving establishment who won't ruin your day and who actually 'care' about their paying customers, the food being served and the service they provide at this important...
