Quite the disappointment really. I’ve done a lot a breweries and taprooms and this one just didn’t seem to come up to scratch, especially considering some of the other offerings in Bristol. The beers were fine, but little more than that, mainly pales on the menu. The biggest shame for me was the food.

The website clearly states that have a pizza offering, but the didn’t. Instead we had to go with the Japanese street food. To my mind the gyoza were too swamped with oil and sauce, which left them quite greasy. The fried chicken rice bowls did not seem to have been assembled with great care, again, totally over powered with WAY too many crispy fried onions and sauce. I also added a tea stained egg to mine and it was served cold. Neither of us could finish the food, which made it a costly mistake at...

Was a great venue. Still is from an aesthetic point of view. Prices have gone up sadly. For a brewery who makes the stuff on site to charge more than if I were to buy elsewhere for £2 less, just doesn't make sense. £6.50 for a pint is a step too far. The only conclusion we can think of is that they are only interested in attacting the London elite who are infesting our once good city and have no interest in attracting the Bristol local beer enthusiasts. Keep the prices low and increase the foot traffic. At lower prices we might be willing to spend more time and drink them dry. Simple business sense. As a side note... what's happened to Periscope. We were told it would be coming back soon... a year on...nothing doing. Hope this doesn't come across as a bit harsh, just an honest opinion...

Good selection of drinks and a large seating area both inside and outside. Eatchu have a mobile takeaway there that does excellent food and more choices than the St Nick's one. We went for the pub quiz which had good prizes and a nice variety of questions, but the sound system was terrible and we struggled to hear questions, mostly because we were at the back next to the speakers for the bar. Make sure if you do go to the quiz to sit in the area inside furthest away from the bar which no one told us about when we arrived despite been sat at a table and one of the staff asking if we were there for the quiz whilst handing...

Visited here as a group of 4 on Saturday 18th Nov. Friendly welcome and super nice staff. Spotlessly clean Taproom and a lovely, chilled atmosphere. The choice of beers available is excellent, no problem to have a taster beforehand and great to be served by staff who know their beers and are genuinely interested in a quality product. We had a bite to eat courtesy of Eatchu, the Japanese dumpling store that is outside the Taproom. Again, great service, super nice food (I had the fried chicken rice bowl), and overall a fabulous experience. Next time I’m in Bristol I’ll be back for some more, can’t recommend enough, thank you!

Love this place! The space itself is STUNNING and the vibes are always good :-) Good range of beers on tap and the staff always seem happy to talk through your options if you know nothing about craft beer (they also have the usual range of spirits, wines and soft drinks). Massive outdoor area that gets the sun late on into the evening which is nice. Plus, don't leave without trying the Gyoza from the Eatchu van outside!
