I had the absolute pleasure of dining here with my BFF for her birthday!! It was fabulous from the second we walked through the door! The furniture is and decour is just stunning!! The welcome was warm and inviting. Our table, although in the middle of other diners, still felt quiet enough for the two of us. The staff were amazing from start to finish!! And a massive Thanks to Bianca, who was just delightful....she made us feel so welcome and perfectly balanced the service with her beautiful personality ❤️ she totally understood the vibe between myself and my friend and totally adapted her service to us!! The food....Exceptional!!!! Starters were gorgeous (mushrooms and king prawns) full of flavour and beautifully presented. For Mains...I had the Crispy Skin Sea Bass Fillets with prawn risotto....OMG, the skin you could hear was crispy, the fish beautifully cooked and the prawn risotto was full of flavour and prawns!! The chicken with mushrooms that my friend had was also gorgeous...chicken beautiful, tender and juicy and that's before I talk about her sides!!! The Greens.....absolutely stunning!!! French beans, Tender Stem Brocoli and Mangè Toutè....just perfect!! The Rosemary potato....fabulous flavour, light and fluffy texture!!! The Pinot Grigio was crispy and fruity. Then the deserts....I had the Deconstructed Affogato and my BFF had the Creme Brullè....we'd mention at the start of the meal that we were celebrating a birthday....what we weren't expecting was the staff (about 4 of them) to bring out my friends desert....singing Happy Birthday with a Candle and the plate written on!!!! Was the perfect end to a perfect evening!!! All our wait staff were amazing, but again...a little shout to Bianca...she absolutely made our night!!! I can not wait to travel the 5.5hrs to Manchester again to (obviously see my BFF) But eat here again!!! Thank you all for an Evening I...

You know you’re in for a treat when you enter the restaurant and see the amazing decor and know it will only get better when you take your place on a comfy seat at your table. First impressions are very important and the waiting staff at l’aquila do not disappoint, instantly getting to work to make sure your experience is a good one. And what an experience it is, from the barman presenting the wine bottle like we are royalty to the perfect presentation of the food!

We shared a half and half garlic bread and the special prawn starter which were both immaculately presented and mouth-wateringly good. The ingredients were obviously fresh and if high quality as the taste exploded in your mouth.

For mains we both chose a pasta dish and again both were such a delight! I took a gamble in trying the steak pasta as I’m not a huge steak fan but the strips of stake in my pasta were so tender flavourful I would recommend it to everyone! My husband went for a salmon and baby prawn pasta, which I took a little bite of, and what a ride of flavours! Each item in the dish had its own unique taste rather than blending into one which can happen with seafood dishes. Fresh and beautiful.

Although we were certainly full by now it was so good that we couldn’t pass the opportunity to try the desserts, after a short break to settle the mains. Again, immaculate presentation of a rich but not sickly sticky toffee pudding and a beautiful, light crème brûlée.

We ended the night with a special cocktail each, both with such unique flavours but gorgeous none the less. All in all it was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend l’aquila. I will certainly...

My review is a little late. Me and my Mum came in last Saturday night and we hadn't booked a table, although they were extremely busy, they were more than happy to find us a table.

I can only say the service was exeptional, right from entering to leaving. All of the staff were lovely and the food is absolutely amazing!.

The atmosphere was brilliant, and it was comfortable and just a relaxing surrounding. I had the Ribeye Diane with mashed potatoes and mixed green vegetables and it was probably one of the nicest steak and all round meals I've ever eaten in a restaurant. It really was fantastic. Cooked absolutely perfect. And my mum had the Canelloni which she loved. We each had a bottle of wine, me red and my mum white and we both enjoyed them very much. There was quite a selection of bottled wine or wine by the glass to choose from. I went with a bottle of Montepulciano and my mum had the Pinot. We also enjoyed a couple of cocktails after our meal.

Almost forgot to mention we had the fried halloumi each as starters and both loved them. They were very filling and me having eyed bigger than my belly struggled to finish my meal after but that isn't s problem because the portion sizes are perfect and the food is absolutely beautiful.

So thank you for such a lovely meal and night in general. We can't wait to...

A range of options for all , and each one as delicious as the other 🥰 Having so much love for the Italian already, I recently have just hired out there upstairs room for my mums baby shower 🩷 and once again couldn’t have been more impressed and thankful for making her baby shower that extra bit special … (photos below) Thanks to all at Laquila.
