Nestled in the heart of the bury, Pizza Express offers a delightful escape into the world of Italian cuisine, and my recent visit certainly did not disappoint. Arriving a generous 45 minutes early for our reservation, I was pleasantly surprised to be seated by Tina immediately—a testament to the restaurant’s efficient management and welcoming atmosphere.
The ambiance at Pizza Express strikes a perfect balance between casual and inviting. The warm lighting and contemporary decor create a cozy yet vibrant setting, ideal for both family gatherings and intimate dinners. As I settled into my seat, I was greeted by the friendly smile of our server, Tina, whose attentiveness and enthusiasm set a positive tone for the evening.
Now, onto the food—an absolute highlight of the experience. I opted for their signature pizza, and it was nothing short of perfection. The crust was thin and crispy, providing the ideal foundation for a generous topping of fresh ingredients. Each bite was a harmonious blend of flavors, showcasing the restaurant’s commitment to quality. My companion chose the lasagna, which was rich and hearty, with layers of pasta perfectly cooked and enveloped in a luscious, savory sauce. It was evident that great care was taken in the preparation of each dish.
Overall, my experience at Pizza Express was exceptional. The combination of friendly service, delectable food, and a welcoming ambiance made for an unforgettable evening. Whether you're a pizza aficionado or a lasagna lover, this restaurant is sure to satisfy your cravings. I left with a full belly and a smile, already planning my next visit to this...
Read moreYesterday, my son got invited to Pizza Express at The Rock, for a friend’s birthday. There were 6 of them in total but the restaurant refused them entry saying that they needed someone over 16 with them. As we were also in Bury, he called us to ask us to get them in. We arrived to be told that they were fully booked now and the boys would have to wait a few hours before a table would be available. The restaurant was NOT busy at all and there were lots of empty tables. I asked them where their policy was on not allowing children in. I was fobbed off with a wafting of a hand towards some certificates displayed on the wall- absolute codswallop!!! Furthermore he then told me that because they sell alcohol, children needed an adult with them. Yet, you would have allowed them entry with a 16 years old???? Their biggest fear really was that the boys would leave without paying because he then had the audacity to inform me that a family had come in before us and left their children because the parents had left their card with their children. So it was ok to “look after” those children when you informed me that children under 16 would be your responsibility and you were not able to do that. Your excuses were absolutely feeble. You saw the boys and pre- judged them. I am absolutely disgusted with your attitude. Mumbling to your colleague as we left was highly unprofessional of you. We usually love going to Pizza Express, but The Rock establishment will not be getting our custom again. Absolutely appalling...
Read moreI have been multiple times and normally have a fairly decent experience. It is not uncommon for them to fail to deliver ordered items but they normally take it off the bill after they deliver it late. In my recent visit I asked for a vegan menu, I was told to just find the vegan items on the regular menu. After reading the menu it said in writing to ask for the vegan menu, so I asked our waitress and she quickly got the menu and informed that they can also switch the cheese on most pizza to the vegan cheese. It was incredibly loud due to them hosting a school leavers event, and they were also very busy dealing with that party. Meaning that when my table had 2 out of 3 starters arrive, I couldn't let a staff member know as it was a rare sight for them to come over to our section instead of all hands dealing with the event. The staff were all polite but it was poorly managed, at least one member of staff should of been focusing on all other customers instead of all working the event tables. My starter eventually came at the same time as my main, it was given to me for free but that wasn't a great deal as I get them free with my pizza express app anyway. Overall the waitresses were polite and apologetic, but it wasn't their fault that they were poorly managed. The food itself was good, and the app makes it a...
