Barista Cafe Bar — Restaurant in Bury

Coffee was ok, most of the breakfast was ok except the rock hard tiny toast that was more like a cracker. The reason why I’m bothering to write this is that they didn’t bring that juice that came with our brunch, we asked for an extra piece of toast before we knew it was bad, when the bill cake is was £2.45 for toast, we asked and they said oh it should be 85p I’ll change t (still too much for a cracker) but yeah, then when we asked about the juice they just said ‘oh did she not bring the juice?’ We said no, I would have just removed toast from the bill entirely as an apology for the no juice thing and the bill mistake etc, but they didn’t and said it’s because of new staff... the new staff where fine, but if you’re the one in charge and a customer had things wrong with & missing from their meal, I wouldn’t still charge them 85p for a super small rock hard...

We went here yesterday for the first time. What an excellent decision! The manager has everything running like clockwork, including what appeared to be training a new member of staff. We watched the interaction of the waiting staff with other customers whilst we waited for our food. Though they were very busy, they were consistently smiling at customers and he'd excellent interaction with children and a young girl with additional needs, even finding time to fasten her coat. Then came the food. Wow! We had seen lovely looking dishes brought out for other people so were expecting something good. We were certainly not disappointed! If you like spicy food, do try the chicken breast with chorizo. It was delicious! Everything is cooked from scratch as ordered and it shows. Love some of the food here but unimpressed with service today. tried the steak and mushroom sandwich as I wanted something else, supposed to be served on garlic bread, was actually served on sourdough and that much peppercorn sauce the bread was soggy. I didn’t eat, didn’t complaint either as I just decided I didn’t like it. Paid for my meal and left a tip, for the woman to give me a very dirty look because I didn’t like it, the 2 kitchen workers then stared at me and my friend whilst we gathered our things and left. Proceeded to stare as we walked away from the building. Would of took my tip back if I could. Usually very polite but that all changed when I said I didn’t like my soggy “sandwich”. Won’t...
