Awful customer service! Right from the start, when asked for lemonade with no ice at the bar, the bartender put ice anyways but when we pointed out we didn't want ice she simply removed them from the glasses with an ice shovel lying around a dirty sink. We were so so annoyed by this that we had to demand for new lemonade into new glasses! Who in their right mind use a dirty shovel to remove ice from a glass and expect customers drink from it? When we drank the lemonade, there was no flavour at all, closer to sparkling water if anything else. We decided not to make a fuss over this, hoping the food we ordered comes out better. We were mistaken, the food were dry and tasteless. When a waiter asked how our food was, we were completely honest that it was bad and we were not going back there again. Her response was just "ok" and didn't ask or didn't tell anyone about our feedback or most of all didn't try to resolve it. At this point we were so fed up that I just called the duty manager who was having a meeting behind us. My partner decided to return the food and explained how it was and the experience we were having with our orders. He decided to refund her food, but did not ask how mine was and ignored me completely. When he came back, we explained how rude he was to me. However, when I started explaining, he just looked at me funny as if my opinion did not matter at all. He was arrogant and lacked professional etiquette. In fact the staff provided the worst restaurant customer service in Bury we had experienced yet! Plus the food are tasteless,...
Read moreVisited here recently for the first time and I'm delighted that I did. It's such a wonderful place on entering, very quirky and original. The decor is amazing and ensures a feeling of welcoming and excitement. The walls are adorned with a variety of paintings and pictures, and every table is uniquely decorated artistically. It's not like anywhere I can remember visiting previously. Within seconds of finding our table, a member of staff was walking over with menus, including a child's menu which had a scene to colour in and crayons - a really nice touch. We ordered lunch and for any vegetarians out there, the Miami brunch was stunning both visually and in taste. I've never even heard of it let alone eaten it, but when it arrived it was an array of colours and tastes all in one bowl - absolutely delicious. There was lots of other vegetarian and vegan dishes to select from too. My partner had a fish finger butty and said that it was also fantastic. The kids' menu is pretty much the usual fare, but includes a drink and a very welcome healthy starter with carrot and bread sticks and hummus. Our food and drinks, including a lovely, frothy, cappuccino were very competitively priced and very good value. The staff were all very friendly and we felt valued during our stay. I would heartily recommend a visit whether with friends or family, including children. I dont visit Bury often, but i know where there is a lovely little corner of it now, for a delicious meal in a delightful setting. Highly...
Read moreOne of the worst experiences at a restaurant in all my life. Never been made to feel so uncomfortable by staff.
Myself and 3 friends went for the first time to Racconto Lounge to try the food, we were unimpressed by the desserts we had ordered (sticky toffee pudding, was ice cold and tasted like 90% cinnamon. I'm sure they had given us a serving of carrot cake). I politely went and asked to exchange the desserts, after returning to my table, the 2 members of staff spoke to the server that I spoke to and sat laughing and staring at my table for the further duration of our stay. Extremely unprofessional, rude and made everyone on my table feel uncomfortable having them stare at us the entire time. I spoke to the manager (who was actually amazing at his job, polite, professional and very apologetic) who then spoke to us and sorted out the problem with the desserts. I wish all the staff that worked in the establishment were as polite and lovely as the manager. Unfortunately, the two off duty chefs are clearly suitably stationed at a back room in the restaurant away from customers view. I do hope, if we ever do decide to return to the restaurant, that off duty workers won't be drinking infront of customers and talking about customers while they're eating, at least wait until we've left. The one star given was purely for the...
