I’ve just come back from 5 weeks traveling Vietnam and was missing it. I’d seen this place before but never gone in, but I saw they do a banh mi for £7 (which is incredibly reasonably priced in 2025) so thought, why not?
As soon as I saw that not only do they put pate in the bread, they also make their own, I knew I was in for a winner - the owners are also from Haiphong, Vietnam. Another good sign!
Can safely say, this was up there with banh mis you get in Vietnam, even better than many I had over there! The bread (which they make themselves) was crispy on the outside and soft as a pillow inside. The pate was lovely and rich and the pork (particularly the char sui) was brilliant. A little bit of chilli oil was added too which added a nice kick to the sandwich, which is how I like it.
This place is legit and absolutely worth going to for lunch.

They have a wide bubble tea flavour selection here and which are very tasty!
I have ordered noodles with spring rolls which were ok; I have expected a 3 spring rolls instead of 2; too many noodles and a bland Vietnamese sauce. I did fill me up but I was wondering if the flavour were a bit dulled down for the local population as the food overall was bland and lacking.

Regardless it was delicious and something I would get again plenty of flavour. The egg noodle was nice according to my wife. Both dishes were reasonably priced but were very large portions.
