Good sport, good drink, lovely well done our place. Lots of local history including a room upstairs, (the Oak Room) - not many people know this, where a meeting was held in 1853 and the original Halifax Building Society, (Halifax Permanent Benefit Building Society, it was called, originally, then) was founded. The manageress/landlady is very good, lovely, and the staff are very capable, full of help, knowledge, ability and great. The pub was done out a few years ago, has a lovely games room with lovely TV screens for watching all tv screening of sports. The venue was perfect was left to dress it up to my liking , had photos running through 2 of the screens ,Leanne the manager was superb , very accomodating to all our needs , making sure we wasn't without anything. Drinks great prices , plenty of space in and out. The staff were extremely patient considering the amount of requests for different music. Everyone loved the atmosphere...
