The experience is awful. I lived in Cambridge for years and usually have a takeaway from this shop. A friend with a young child came for a visit, so bring them to this kebab shop and kindly asked if there was a space upstairs. The male waiter was very nice and kindly told us it would be 5-10 mins waiting time as there was a small table available. So waited for a while and went to the counter to place the order. Then, a funny thing happened. The waitress kept asking/suggesting some guests were sitting downstairs already eating to go upstairs and take a seat. She knew we were waiting for a table. Then, turn around and told us no table. You have to wait until someone leavesโ€”no idea how long it will be. Use a funny face and keep saying you have to wait for no idea how long it will be. The child was too hungry and could not wait for โ€˜no idea how long it would beโ€™, so we went to another restaurant. I felt terribly sorry for my friend and the child. And I will never step into this shop again. I will also share this experience with all my friends who live here. I am not happy with the reply as the lady just pushed all the reason to the chef. All the restaurant I went to never have this issue. They always explained the situation and I am fully respect and understand. This is my first time leave negative feedback after years using google review. Good luck with...

I would want to give this place a better review as a local, but unfortunately, every time I've visited over the years, I've been sadly disappointed. For the price you pay, which is quite expensive for what you get, the food has been sub-par. Not the friendliest of places, service the same. Would not recommend the fish and chips, As a group we've been for lunch a few times (5 of us), we all got fish and chips. The portions were tiny, and there was more batter than fish, and the chips were overdone. Sadly, this has been a recurrent theme when we've gone back again. It just seems like it's thrown together and being charged 'tourist' prices. It does, however, have seating upstairs and outside, which is nice and in a good location. This place is probably best suited as an after-hours post drinking stop off, not recommend for a place to go during the day. Better food on the market for less. That being said, if you want a box of donner meat and chips with gravy, this is recommended, though get a can (also expensive) as it...

I have visited this place every time I go to Cambridge but after last night Never Never again. Asked if there was room upstairs, the two men said yes. Placed order and paid. Was given no receipt or number for order. Went upstairs place full of students, had to ask for them to give us a table. Their food was brought to them in drabs and was told after half hour our food was on grill. Hour later still no food, we went downstairs and the two men was busy serving in the shop and our food had still not been put on the grill. We demanded our money back. Very rude argumentative member of staff with beard said we couldnโ€™t have refund as no receipt and he couldnโ€™t check as too many orders. After telling him not our problem and if they canโ€™t manage to employ more people. We will NOT be returning and advise everyone to find somewhere else for food and...

My partner recommended this for somewhere to eat while we were in Cambridge. We had a 'Mixed Kebab' as recommended by my partner who has to come here everytime he's in Cambridge. The Mixed kebab was kebab meat, chicken and greek sausage, obviously in a pitta bread with salad. I had a Regular kebab as I just wanted to try it. There was enough on my portion (regular) kebab and that was a nice portion. The Chilli sause was nice reminded me of homemade and I had greek yoghurt on also, also tasty and fresh. The meats were tasty and the sausage wasnt bad, as I am not really a fan of sausage as a general rule. I enjoyed the Mixed Kebab, would recommend but I thought was a little pricey. But a guess given the location and being down south prices are different to up north.

My boyfriend and I came in this evening and spent 12 quid on two pizzas which, in all honesty, were barely edible. You're much better off throwing some frozen pizzas from Sainsbury's in your oven. However, the guys working there were super nice and accommodating, and we did not try the other food (aside from some chips, were were decent but also not very fresh) so we would just recommend not bothering with the pizzas. As students with little money looking forward to a little dinner treat and wanting to support a local eatery, this was really, really dissappointing. Five stars for customer service though.

I had the Large falafel with pita which was very tasty. They offered a discount if you paid with cash rather than card which I saw too late. I wish all of the salad had been served in the pita with the falafel as I spent the first 5 minutes trying to make my own wrap up! The houmous and tzatziki were very nice, the chilli sauce was very tomato-y and not spicy at all which was disappointing. The upstairs seating was very cramped and not particularly relaxing. It was full which is a good sign that the place is popular! Overall it was nice, but maybe a bit pricey.
