Came in for a meal with my family. 3 meals came fine with a large portion of chips on the plate and warm burgers. One order of the cheesy chickle burger came to the table stone cold in the middle, so was sent back to the kitchen in hope of a warm one returning back promptly. Disappointingly, there was a wait for the new burger and most of us had nearly finished our meal by this point. The waitress, who was very sweet and apologetic and I do feel bad as it wasn’t her fault, waited at the table to check the burger was okay. It wasn’t, with the chicken still cold in the middle. The manager then came to the table to also apologise and offer another burger, but we had all finished. He said that the reason the burger might’ve been cold was that the pickles are refrigerated, but this shouldn’t affect hot chicken off the grill to such an extent that the middle of the chicken fillet would be cold. We were offered a refund which was only the cost of the burger not the full meal and was returned as cash. The table we were on was situated next to the ice cream machine which in intervals would churn out warm air onto our faces and backs of head. With the sunlight coming into the restaurant, it was also obvious how dusty the place is, with thick coatings of dust on the light shades and cobwebs on the wooden posts. Very filthy and not well looked after. This meal was completely unlike any other I have had at this Nando’s, with most experiences being lovely and the food delivered hot and fresh. Seeing the food left on the pass for long amounts of time made me realise that maybe things are being neglected or they have been short of staff. Read moreFrom the get go, this Nandos on Newmarket road was disappointing 😞. Upon entering we were informed of many items unavailable, the young lass showed us to our table, (not warm nor was she welcoming) the asked us to order via QR or the app,as short staffed, very poxy and mildly irritating, rather communicate with a person and not be on my phone when out for dinner. This Nandos was outdated, badly worn, stained/ ripped chairs, table didnt feel very clean, table and chair legs were dirty,cutlery was dirty and old, needed to be cleaned before used, the drink/ice cream area was near on flooded and the floor surrounding was a massive slip hazard. Tables left uncleared for quite some time. Why did we still eat here; because we didn't notice straight away how filthy the place was, as had my head in my phone sorting out our order, plus it was like 18:00 and we hadn't eaten all day. The sauce bottles were clogged, not enough to go round and were sticky/dirty. Food was nice, not the warmest, like how you would get as a delivery, We didn't get desserts in the end, due to poor service and how dirty this Nandos is. All the chairs need throwing out, it's rather embarrassing how neglected this Nandos is. Also embarrassing is how some customers leave their tables. (Gross) Can't comment on the toilets but just glad didn't need to go, judging by the restaurant. Not very inclusive having customers only order via app or QR code. I did see an older couple leave not long after entering ( possibly due to ordering, can't be certain) also what about those with disabilities ect. Anyways, we wouldn't return or recommend this...
Read moreTerrible Order & Collect service. Ordered online to collect from this place. Paid the price and went in to collect. While picking up I asked if everything is in the bag, they said Yes. I had to drive 20 minutes to collect and drove back to the home only to realize that they put only Pitta bread, but no humous and peri peri drizzle. Such hopeless service. They encourage to order online and easy way to collect. But the real truth is that they can just put what ever they like. Look at the Garlic bread they put in the takeaway order. I called in to find out why they missed, they simply apologized and say they can refund or I get free humous next time. Such a gross recklessness towards the customers. This is not the first time they did with collect service. I ordered online and was given time slot. When I went in and realized that they didn't even process my order and I had to wait for 20minutes in the restaurant to pick up. We were very happy when this particular restaurant was opened in the retail park and as a family we have been visiting since this restaurant was opened. Most of the times the service is good, but they do mess up with things, which we could sort out if we are eating in. But with the order & Collect they should be watching out what they are putting in the bags. Look at the terrible Garlic bread they put in. They are in a busy place, but it's not a excuse just to put what ever you like in the takeaways and missing bits from the order.
