Tried this place after looking at the reviews... Was surprised to start as it wasn't quite what I was expecting... But we stayed It's what I would call old school, felt a little nostalgic not too many frills I ordered coffee and I had an almond croissant... My other half had the special panina, omelette with chicken, peppers etc but had it without the bread Firstly the coffee was great... I expected that, second it was the best croissant I had ever tasted... Kept warm not heated up in a microwave (I hate that) and the omelette was so good... Freshly made to order... Great little find

Italian coffee shop with savoury options and some pastries. Locating near the city centre, it is a great for a quick stop. It was bustling with customer even during October 2020, the Coronavirus time, making it not suitable for mobile workers. The shop gave a warm feeling with friendly staffs who went around and asked customers for feedbacks. The shop uses Illy coffee beans and coffee was dark but not burnt -- a good sign. I would love to try their espresso next time. The soup I had came with a slice of bread. The soup itself was nice and filling.

Amazing pastry! crispy shell with a warm chocolate filling. Also love the smell of baked goods that wafts in the space. — Coming back before catching a bus. Tried the new breakfast special, omelette panino. Lovely freshly cooked omelette, filled with flavorful peppers and chicken pieces, stuffed in piping hot toasted ciabatta. Heavenly heart-warming and filling breakfast. Very welcoming and efficient service. The blackboard always tempts me with so many combinations… and Brie/cheddar/mozzarella cheese croissant sounds delicious.

POOR! Not my rating above! Treaten like sh**t (!)- after years of beeing reg.customer.. Was called to get ready takeaway, appeared, paid/tipped, refreshed and...w8+w8..after said 'thankyou, need to go, car on pavement/job on screen(taxi), sorry can't w8 longer..' Young boy/staff/ spoted my order and start shouting (instead apologize about missing of it...) -'Your order is ready! Here!'- showing bag on till. Answered him- 'Cant read in mind, and someone schould tell me is there. I dont know whats in bag or wherever, Im coustomer, Im served, not serving...'-in answer I heard- 'Give me food back, Ill give U your money, get out, dont comeback ever..-shouting and swearing with no reason,by his fault. So thats the treatment foryears of loyalty Savinos familly... SO B CAREFULL, OR 1 DAY U CAN B NEXT! I WAS A WHITENESS OF TREATING PEOPLE LIKE THAT B4 IN THIS PLACE! ALSO WITH 1 REASON OF DONT GIVE A...... -SHAME, IF THEY KNOW EVEN MEANING OF IT... STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED (altough the food was always good and worth its price)(u r not in italy there to lose your manners and abuse without reason ...luckly not in other country where for this behavior loosing coustomer with own...

My old review was 3 stars (5 stars -1 star for location issues, and -1 star because the sandwiches were oil drenched). Today I am reducing the rating by a star as well, so -1 star as addition to the current +3, which in turn makes it +2. Today's sandwich made me feel very unwell and the issues were resolved back to normal state only after 3 pills of charcoal, and 5 soup spoons of husk. Check your ingredients or preparation process. Something has changed since 6 months ago. Maybe you use same ingredients or oil (which is therefore too old)? Maybe the process has become more profit oriented and compromises the quality (there is nothing wrong with greedy business practices, to be fair). Either way, I will leave 2 stars. And that is very very generous of me, just to...

This is my favorite place in Cambridge! Easy to get to, family owned and the food and coffee is DELICIOUS! The family is just lovely, always friendly and the dad makes all the baked goods! I cannot rave enough about the Amaretti's and these little lemon biscuit things with drizzle... holy moly. With a latte? Absolutely to die for. I was away for 6 weeks and the first place I went when I got back was Savino's to get an Alla Sara! Everything is fresh and hot when you get it, and I can't rave enough about the people. If you want lovely food and a coffee, this is the place to go. Support your local businesses! Give your money to them rather than Nero's or Costa - it's worth every penny. I'd upload a pic, but I ate it all...
