I was told this place is warm and welcoming but upon arrival today I started by checking the outside notice board when a women came out and without introducing herself or making me aware who she was or why she was engaging with me started questioning me with suspicion about why bi was here and then proceeded to "tell me off " for stating in the window!!! I advised I was reading the notices whereby she told me she didn't believe me (calling me a liar) and that I was to leave! I advised her I simply wished to pop in for a drink and see me friend who works there and she walked back in grumbling about me to the other customers!!! I then met a chap on the counter who kindly served me coffee and seated me away from the " unwelcoming women" I sat to drink my expresso when unwelcoming women started to patrol the area behind wherever Sat in an intimidating way. My friend isn't in for another hour so I left quickly after my coffee I am registered mentally disabled with autism and I struggle to understand society as it is without support workers at a drop in centre challenging me without reason and making me feel unwelcome and treating me unfairly! This is known as Ablelism and is tantamount to racism Not a nice experience doubt I'll ever gp there again!

We recently worked with The Edge who provided catering for our 70 person event in a local Cambridge venue. They were great in working with us to provide a vegan menu and even did several drop offs as we didn't have much fridge space- such excellent service! The food was DELICIOUS, we had so many comments from our delegates about how great it was. One lady even told us it was the best conference catering she had ever had! I will definitely be using them again when in the area.

It's a nice cosy cafe tucked into Mill road, Cambridge. All those employed at this cafe are those with history of drug and alcohol misuse and those recovering from it and working to rebuild their lives. It's also an hub for anyone seeking help or peer support to help them get out of such substance misuse. There is always someone to listen to such people and help out. It's a truly worthy cafe. Best wishes to a worthy human cause.

I love the layout of the Cafe as it is open, spacious and very welcoming. The decor doesn't overwhelm me with style features as some places do and there are magazines to look through, an information table with info about events and activities at the Cafe as well as the Community Fridge and Food table to have a look at too. I picked up some delicious bread there last time I visited. Even with all these things the space still feels spacious. I like the staff very much. They are professional, helpful and pleased to see customers. I only know Jacob by name so far however I look forward to seeing the staff as much as I look forward to a delicious cup of coffee and an equally delicious slice of vegan...

"The Cutting Edge".

I love a 'Small Edge', It's one I adore, But there's bigger and better, The Cafè itself is so much more.

The Staff are superb So calm and obliging, Caring about customers, And patients recovering.

On so many levels "The Edge" is an ingot, Overcoming many 'devils', Helping smooth out any 'knots'.

Timely 'challenges' to occupy Senses when they wander, Giving minds a chance To rebuild and bolster.

Yes this place has it all, It's one to savour and favour, An overriding 'safety line', In this era, in this time.
