Tas Accommodations is managed by the most incompetent, arrogant bullying man you'd ever hate to encounter in the Hospitality industry. His attitude makes Basil Fawlty look like the epitome of respectful and obliging service. ||||I rang to check book-in times a week before our trip was due and was told that although the room would not be ready until 2pm we were welcome to turn up and leave our bags in the accommodation at 1pm. I spoke several times over the phone to the manager Dieran to check that the booking had gone through and was told there was no problem.||||When we arrived at 1pm I rang to find that gaining entry to the accommodation involved a series of ridiculous text messaging between the manager and a Romanian house warden who understood not a single word of English. After 15 minutes stood on the doorstep, she finally opened the door and ushered us in with the most furtive and unwelcome entrance I've ever encountered in what Tas laughably call 'luxury' accommodation'. The furniture is grubby and falling to pieces and the carpets are stained and worn.||||Unfortunately my partner committed the crime of needing to use a toilet. The house warden didn't know the English word for 'toilet' and three uncomfortable mobile phone conversations with the manager later (he couldn't tell us what room we were meant to be in until he'd got back to his office) we finally got access to the room. No toilet was available anywhere else in the building and I was told he would email the details in due course. This involved being emailed a pin code and a room number to gain access to a key safe. The email didn't come through to my phone. A further phone conversation in which he again couldn't give me the details but would "ensure head office texted to my mobile". Eventually we gained access after an hour of messing around: "Did I ever promise you'd gain access to the room before 2pm", says Dieran, in his typical accusatory manner.||||The information on a board by the front door states that if 'guests' (I put guest in inverted commas as we were made to feel more like criminals on the run) have any questions the house warden would be available between 9am and 2pm to answer them. The house warden didn't even have the grace of Manuel from Fawlty Towers with his renowned 'que?' when he couldn't understand the English he was confronted with. She simply grunted and stared into her phone hardly acknowledging the existence of anyone else. When I questioned Dieran about their employing house wardens with no English his response was to tell me that they "didn't expect their house wardens to have degrees in engineering" as if I was asking for the moon to expect the most rudimentary of civil communication.||||Our stay was complicated by the further incompetence of Tas in not acknowledging an extra nights stay. The house warden came knocking on our door expecting us to leave on the Sunday morning, except she couldn't tell us that that was her expectation. She could only grunt and harrumph. ||||In another phone call from Dieran he demanded why we hadn't posted our key in the 'express check-out' box (numerous emails from Tas told us they were sorry to not be able to greet us in person but that covid meant this was impossible). When I told him we'd paid for another night he feigned never having had that conversation with me back in May. He demanded I forward the confirmation email to him and that I give him proof of payment. It seems that the payment of £90 per night isn't enough for Tas. They want you to do their job for...

Unfortunately, this was not the case. When I arrived, it was pointed out that I had booked a large double room and that the photo of the studio room was a generic photo used for all confirmation emails. Apart from the fact that it is not necessary to include a photo of a room in the confirmation email, the fact that it was a photo of a different room than the one I thought I had booked, is misleading. ||Diren did not agree and instead he was rude, insisting that it was not misleading and that he was going to come to the room and show me that the room I had was the room I had booked.
