Bell and Bottle — Restaurant in Cannock Chase

After an initial lovely start to our evening it was promptly spoilt by the land lady, who after spending our hard earned money around £50 our selves and our friend another £30 to be told that our children should not play around the pool table due to the noise going upstairs. This was at 18:55, not midnight, It clearly states outside that families are welcome but from now on we will take our business elsewhere. I hope that all families take this on board. Came with some friends and had a lovely meal in a positive atmosphere, the members of staff were very polite and helpful always happy to help. I genuinely cannot fault the service as everything went spectacular, also would just like to thank the staff for being so helpful and always there when you need them at hand. Fantastic pub! Plenty of games and activities to do including a pool table in one room and darts in another, I really recommend this pub to anyone who is looking for a nice chilled out place to go for dinner or tea with...

A 'locals' sports bar with basic offering of lager, cider and John Smiths. Bar food offered; cobs (rolls), scotch eggs (though we didn't see any on display) and a small kitchen menu, including egg, chips & beans and Gyros. We had the latter and both were excellent. The bar tender was very attentive, polite and efficient. Not a pub for 'ale' drinkers, but does what it says on the tin. Access is via 3 steep steps. I couldn't see any other access.
